[0:00][Music] when we're looking at the childhood of we see something so

[0:34]unique and so beautiful but something that is unique in the general

[0:40]analysis the general sense but almost mirroring the holy prophet himself now

[0:44]what do I mean by this when you're looking at the childhood

[0:47]of the IM the IM was raised by Prophet Muhammad and he

[0:53]was raised by him he was taking into his taken into his

[0:57]home uh due to a famine that was experienced in hij in

[1:01]in in Arabia um and given the fact that Abu Talib had

[1:07]many children um some of his close family members had come to

[1:11]him and and told him hey we will support you help you

[1:15]because you've always been a support to US during this time your

[1:18]you know your home is always open to everybody in need we're

[1:22]going to help you let us take care let's take you know

[1:24]some custody essentially and care for some of your sons so the

[1:32]son that uh was given to Prophet Muhammad was none other than

[1:37]IM Al his other his other siblings were given to uh were

[1:42]given to ham abdb and abdb the uncles of prophet Muhammad the

[1:49]brothers of uh Abu Talib so when we see this we're going

[1:55]to be looking back to okay who else was taken under the

[1:57]care of another family member the way Prophet Muhammad is coming here

[2:05]and now taking care of im aliam as a child none other

[2:07]than the prophet himself Prophet Muhammad when he was just a boy

[2:14]um at the age of six his mother Amina had passed away

[2:19]the prophet Muhammad uh's father Abdullah had passed away before he was

[2:24]even born and he was only about 25 26 years old uh

[2:28]when he passed away he had got an illness during a uh

[2:30]trading Journey that he had that he had taken uh in Syria

[2:35]he got sick along the way during his travel and and and

[2:40]passed away during that trip so Prophet Muhammad Al didn't even see

[2:45]his father uh he was born uh be uh after his father

[2:46]had just passed away the age of six his mother Amina passes

[2:50]away and then he is taken under the care of his grandfather

[2:53]ABD mut for two years and at the age of eight ABD

[3:00]mutal passes away and then the prophet is taken under the care

[3:04]of Abu Talib so Abu Talib plays the central role in Prophet

[3:11]Muhammad's life since he's a child since he's just 8 years old

[3:15]and this tasking of the uh you know responsibility of being this

[3:21]custodian and guardian of the Caba it's so amazing and beautiful to

[3:27]see it that Abdul MB the grandfather TK asking Abu Talib to

[3:31]take care of Thea but he's also asking him to take care

[3:37]of prophet Muhammad the so think about this the and then the

[3:40]messenger who the holder of what the message this is the family

[3:48]of prophet Muhammad now when im aliam is just a child who

[3:51]takes care of him during this famine this really bad famine that

[3:58]hits the community Prophet Muhammad now comes into this role and takes

[4:02]care of IM aliam and literally raises him it's narrated that IM

[4:05]aliam would say later on in his life that I follow the

[4:11]prophet like a baby camel so imagine a baby camel following its

[4:15]mom right Ali is describing himself as following the prophet in the

[4:21]same way he walked in his footsteps he was his shadow when

[4:24]the holy prophet declared his message or when he received his re

[4:28]Revelation at first and at the age of 40 he shared it

[4:33]at the very beginning just with his wife lady and then with

[4:38]IM Ali and when he had shared it with them lady khadam

[4:42]became the first Muslim the first person to accept his message that

[4:49]there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad S is his

[4:51]messenger IMI would be the first male the first man to accept

[4:57]his message and though he was a young man at that time

[4:59]he would be the first man to accept the message now when

[5:03]the Revelation came down of basically to call onto the N ofkin

[5:10]this was the command from Allah tala telling the prophet you have

[5:16]to share this news with your family call them on to you

[5:19]invite them and share this news with them the prophet had tasked

[5:25]the whole organization the facilitation of this da of this invitation to

[5:30]IM Ali so IM Ali this young man goes out invites all

[5:33]the uncles invites all the cousins brings them brings them forward creates

[5:37]this or sets up this this Feast family's eating everyone is together

[5:42]then the prophet shares this news that he is the messenger of

[5:47]God he is the prophet of God and he is calling on

[5:51]to his family members to accept his message and he gives him

[5:54]a promise whoever accept my message I will make them my brother

[5:57]my successor my Heir after me when he did this everyone just

[6:04]looked at him didn't give any response IM this young man who

[6:11]had facilitated this who had coordinated the invitation at the command of

[6:16]the Prophet stood up and said I will be the one who

[6:18]follows you Yol Prophet Muhammad thanks him asks him you know to

[6:25]just take a seat for a second then he asks again and

[6:30]he essentially puts the burden of proof gives this another opportunity to

[6:34]the people that are sitting as family members to accept his message

[6:40]and again silence and then again IM Ali stands up again Prophet

[6:43]thanks him he sits back down and then for a third time

[6:48]and then at the third time Ali stands up and the prophet

[6:50]says yes oh Ali you are my brother my successor and my

[6:58]Heir after me you see this relationship between the prophet and IM

[7:01]aliam is not a you know it's not one of coincidence it's

[7:07]it's one where the Prophet you're looking at this family that was

[7:11]building him this prophetic family that was building him shaping him by

[7:15]the grace of God then he is building IM Al shaping him

[7:20]building into that character and that competence look at that the show

[7:25]of competence where IM Ali as a young man who was allegedly

[7:27]only 12 years old at the time is tasked with this very

[7:34]important responsibility of inviting these Elders coming together sitting down like a

[7:39]feast organizing this all together the competence is there the character is

[7:44]definitely there showing up for the prophet fulfilling his needs fulfilling his

[7:49]tasks and then responding to him time and time and time again

[7:57]the character in The Confidence continues as we look at The Life

[8:02]and Legacy of IM
