[2:38]Thou hast brought forth the things without root, formed what Thou hast
[2:44]formed without exemplar, and originated the originated things without limitation.
[2:51]It is Thou who hast ordained each thing with an ordination, eased
[2:57]each thing with an easing, and governed everything below Thyself with a
[3:04]governing.
[3:04]It is Thou whom no associate helps with Thy creation and no
[3:11]vizier aids in Thy command.
[3:14]Thou hast no witness and no equal.

[4:21]art not exemplified, lest Thou be found, who dost not beget, lest
[4:28]Thou be begotten.

[4:34]with Thee, who hast no equal, lest it vie with Thee, who

[4:48]and made well all that He made.

[5:23]Possessor of radiance and glory, magnificence and praise!
[5:28]Glory be to Thee!
[5:30]Thou hast stretched forth Thy hand with good things, and from Thee
[5:35]guidance has come to be known, so he who begs from Thee
[5:39]religion or this world will find Thee.
[5:43]Glory be to Thee!
[5:44]Whatever passes in Thy knowledge is subjected to Thee, all below Thy
[5:50]Throne are humbled before Thy mightiness, and every one of Thy creatures
[5:57]follows Thee in submission.
[5:59]Glory be to Thee!
[6:01]Thou art not sensed, nor touched, nor felt, nor beguiled, nor held
[6:07]back, nor challenged, nor kept up with, nor resisted, nor deceived, nor
[6:16]circumvented.
[6:17]Glory be to Thee!
[6:19]Thy path is smooth ground, Thy command right guidance, and Thou art
[6:24]a living, eternal refuge.
[6:26]Glory be to Thee!
[6:28]Thy word is decisive, Thy decree unfailing, Thy will resolute.
[6:34]Glory be to Thee!
[6:36]None can reject Thy wish, none can change Thy words.
[6:42]Glory be to Thee, Outdazzling in signs, Creator of the heavens, Author
[6:50]of the spirits!
[6:52]To Thee belongs praise, a praise that will be permanent with Thy
[6:56]permanence!
[6:57]To Thee belongs praise, a praise everlasting through Thy favour!
[7:02]To Thee belongs praise, a praise that will parallel Thy benefaction!
[7:06]To Thee belongs praise, a praise that will increase Thy good pleasure!
[7:11]To Thee belongs praise, a praise along with the praise of every
[7:15]praiser and a thanksgiving before which falls short the thanksgiving of every
[7:20]thanksgiver; a praise which is suitable for none but Thee a praise
[7:29]which will make permanent the first [bounty] and call forth the permanence
[7:34]of the last; a praise which will multiply through recurrence of times
[7:40]and increase through successive doublings; a praise which the guardians will not
[7:48]be able to number and which exceeds what the writers number in
[7:53]Thy Book; a praise which will counterbalance Thy glorious Throne and equal
[8:00]Thy elevated Footstool; a praise whose reward with Thee will be complete
[8:06]and whose recompense will comprise every recompense; a praise whose outward conforms
[8:12]to its inward, and whose inward conforms to correct intention; a praise
[8:19]with whose like no creature has praised Thee and whose excellence none
[8:26]knows but Thou; a praise in which he who strives to multiply
[8:30]Thy praise will be helped and he who draws the bow to
[8:34]the utmost in fulfilling it will be confirmed; a praise which will
[8:39]gather all the praise which Thou hast created and tie together all
[8:44]which Thou wilt afterwards create; a praise than which no praise is
[8:49]nearer to Thy word and than which none is greater from any
[8:53]who praise Thee; a praise whose fullness will obligate increase through Thy
[8:59]generosity and to which Thou wilt join increase after increase as graciousness
[9:04]from Thee; a praise that will befit the generosity of Thy face
[9:09]and meet the might of Thy majesty!
[9:12]My Lord, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, the distinguished, the
[9:19]chosen, the honoured, the brought nigh, with the most excellent of Thy
[9:24]blessings, benedict him with the most complete of Thy benedictions, and have
[9:29]mercy upon him with the most enjoyable of Thy mercies!
[9:32]My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a fruitful blessing, more
[9:39]fruitful than which there is no blessing!
[9:43]Bless him with a growing blessing, more growing than which there is
[9:50]no blessing!
[9:51]And bless him with a pleasing blessing, beyond which there is no
[9:58]blessing!
[9:59]My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will
[10:04]please him and increase his good pleasure!
[10:08]Bless him with a blessing which will please Thee and increase Thy
[10:13]good pleasure toward him!
[10:15]And bless him with a blessing through other than which Thou wilt
[10:19]not be pleased for him, and for which Thou seest no one
[10:25]else worthy!
[10:26]My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household, with a blessing which will
[10:32]pass beyond Thy good pleasure, be continuous in its continuity through Thy
[10:38]subsistence, and never be spent, just as Thy words will never be
[10:42]spent!
[10:43]My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will
[10:49]tie together the blessings of Thy angels, Thy prophets, Thy messengers, and
[10:55]those who obey Thee, comprise the blessings of Thy servants, jinn or
[11:01]mankind, and those worthy of Thy response, and bring together the blessings
[11:07]of every one of the kinds of Thy creatures which Thou hast
[11:12]sown and authored!
[11:13]My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will
[11:19]encompass every blessing, bygone and new!
[11:22]Bless him and his Household with a blessing which is pleasing to
[11:28]Thee and everyone below Thee and will bring forth with all that
[11:34]a blessing with which Thou wilt multiply those blessings and increase them
[11:40]through the recurrence of days with an increasing in multiples which none
[11:46]can count but Thou!
[11:48]My Lord, bless the best of his Household, those whom Thou hast
[11:54]chosen for Thy command, appointed the treasurers of Thy knowledge, the guardians
[12:00]of Thy religion, Thy vicegerents in Thy earth, and Thy arguments against
[12:06]Thy servants, purified from uncleanness and defilement through a purification by Thy
[12:12]desire and made the mediation to Thee and the road to Thy
[12:19]Garden!
[12:20]My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which makes
[12:26]plentiful Thy gifts and generosity, perfects for them Thy bestowals and awards,
[12:36]and fills out their share of Thy kindly acts and benefits!
[12:42]My Lord, bless him and his Household with a blessing whose first
[12:47]has no term, whose term has no limit, and whose last has
[12:54]no utmost end!
[12:55]My Lord, bless them to the weight of Thy Throne and all
[12:59]below it, the amount that fills the heavens and all above them,
[13:06]the number of Thy earths and all below and between them, a
[13:12]blessing that will bring them near to Thee in proximity, please Thee
[13:19]and them, and be joined to its likes forever!
[13:24]O God, surely Thou hast confirmed Thy religion in all times with
[13:31]an Imam whom Thou hast set up as a guidepost to Thy
[13:35]servants and a lighthouse in Thy lands, after his cord has been
[13:40]joined to Thy cord!
[13:42]Thou hast appointed him the means to Thy good pleasure, made obeying
[13:47]him obligatory, cautioned against disobeying him, and commanded following his commands, abandoning
[13:55]what he has prohibited, and that no forward-goer go ahead of him
[14:02]or back-keeper keep back from him!
[14:06]So he is the preservation of the shelter-seekers, the cave of the
[14:11]faithful, the handhold of the adherents, and the radiance of the worlds!
[14:16]O God, so inspire Thy guardian to give thanks for that in
[14:22]which Thou hast favoured him, inspire us with the like concerning him,
[14:27]grant him 'an authority from Thee to help him open for him
[14:33]an easy opening, aid him with Thy mightiest pillar, brace up his
[14:39]back, strengthen his arm, guard him with Thy eye, defend him with
[14:45]Thy safeguarding, help him with Thy angels, and assist him with Thy
[14:50]most victorious troops!
[14:52]Through him establish Thy Book, Thy bounds, Thy laws, and the norms
[14:58]of Thy Messenger's Sunna (Thy blessings, O God, be upon him and
[15:03]his Household), bring to life the guideposts of Thy religion, deadened by
[15:09]the wrongdoers, burnish the rust of injustice from Thy way, sift the
[15:15]adversity from Thy road, eliminate those who deviate from Thy path, and
[15:22]erase those who seek crookedness in Thy straightness!
[15:26]Make his side mild toward Thy friends, stretch forth his hand over
[15:32]Thy enemies, give us his clemency, his mercy, his tenderness, his sympathy,
[15:40]and make us his hearers and obeyers, strivers toward his good pleasure,
[15:48]assistants in helping him and defending him, and brought near through that
[15:57]to Thee and Thy Messenger (Thy blessings, O God, be upon him
[16:03]and his Household).
[16:05]O God, and bless the friends [of the Imams], the confessors of
[16:11]their station, the keepers to their course, the pursuers of their tracks,
[16:18]the clingers to their handhold, the adherents to their guardianship, the followers
[16:26]of their imamate, the submitters to their command, the strivers to obey
[16:34]them, the awaiters of their days, the directors of their eyes toward
[16:42]them, with blessings blessed, pure, growing, fresh!
[16:50]Give them and their spirits peace, bring together their affair in reverential
[16:57]fear, set right their situations, turn toward them, "Surely Thou art Ever-turning,
[17:04]All-compassionate" and the Best of forgivers, and place us with them in
[17:10]the Abode of Peace, through Thy mercy, O Most Merciful of the
[17:15]merciful!
[17:16]O God, this is the Day of Arafa, a day which Thou
[17:21]hast made noble, given honour, and magnified.
[17:25]Within it Thou hast spread Thy mercy, showed kindness through Thy pardon,
[17:30]and made plentiful Thy giving, and by it Thou hast been bounteous
[17:36]toward Thy servants.
[17:37]I am Thy servant whom Thou favoured before creating him and after
[17:46]creating him.
[17:48]Thou madest him one of those whom Thou guided to Thy religion,
[17:52]gavest success in fulfilling Thy right, preserved through Thy cord, included within
[17:59]Thy party, and directed aright to befriend Thy friends and show enmity
[18:05]to Thine enemies.
[18:06]Then Thou commanded him, but he did not follow Thy commands, Thou
[18:11]restricted Him, but he did not heed Thy restrictions, Thou prohibited him
[18:15]from disobedience toward Thee, but he broke Thy command by doing what
[18:20]Thou hadst prohibited, not in contention with Thee, nor to display pride
[18:26]toward Thee; on the contrary, his caprice called him to that which
[18:31]Thou hadst set apart and cautioned against, and he was helped in
[18:37]that by Thy enemy and his enemy.
[18:40]So he went ahead with it knowing Thy threat, hoping for Thy
[18:47]pardon, and relying upon Thy forbearance, though he was the most obligated
[18:53]of Thy servants - given Thy kindness toward him - not to
[18:58]do so.
[18:59]Here I am, then, before Thee, despised, lowly, humble, abject, fearful, confessing
[19:10]the dreadful sins with which I am burdened and the great offenses
[19:18]that I have committed, seeking sanctuary in Thy forgiveness, asking shelter in
[19:25]Thy mercy, and certain that no sanctuary-giver will give me sanctuary from
[19:31]Thee and no withholder will hold me back from Thee.
[19:35]So act kindly toward me, just as Thou actest kindly by Thy
[19:40]shielding him who commits sins, be munificent toward me, just as Thou
[19:46]art munificent by pardoning him who throws himself before Thee, and show
[19:51]kindness to me, just as it is nothing great for Thee to
[19:56]show kindness by forgiving him who expectantly hopes in Thee!
[20:01]Appoint for me in this day an allotment through which I may
[20:05]attain a share of Thy good pleasure, and send me not back
[20:10]destitute of that with which Thy worshipers return from among Thy servants!
[20:16]Though I have not forwarded the righteous deeds which they have forwarded,
[20:23]I have forwarded the profession of Thy Unity and the negation from
[20:28]Thee of opposites, rivals, and likenesses, I have come to Thee by
[20:34]the gateways by which Thou hast commanded that people come, and I
[20:39]have sought nearness to Thee through that, without seeking nearness through which,
[20:45]none gains nearness to Thee.
[20:47]Then I followed all this with repeated turning toward Thee, lowliness and
[20:54]abasement before Thee, good opinion of Thee, and trust in what is
[21:00]with Thee; and to that I coupled hope in Thee, since the
[21:05]one who hopes in Thee is seldom disappointed!
[21:08]I asked Thee with the asking of one vile, lowly, pitiful, poor,
[21:16]fearful, seeking sanctuary; all that in fear and pleading, seeking refuge and
[21:25]asking shelter, not presumptuous through the pride of the proud, nor exalting
[21:32]myself with the boldness of the obedient, nor presumptuous of the intercession
[21:40]of the interceders.
[21:42]For I am still the least of the least and the lowliest
[21:47]of the lowly, like a dust mote or less!
[21:53]O He who does not hurry the evildoers nor restrain those living
[21:59]in ease!
[22:00]O He who shows kindness through releasing the stumblers and gratuitous bounty
[22:06]through respiting the offenders!
[22:08]I am the evildoer, the confessor, the offender, the stumbler!
[22:14]I am he who was audacious toward Thee as one insolent!
[22:19]I am he who disobeyed Thee with forethought!
[22:23]I am he who hid myself from Thy servants and blatantly showed
[22:27]myself to Thee!
[22:28]I am he who was awed by Thy servants and felt secure
[22:32]from Thee!
[22:33]I am he who dreaded not Thy penalty and feared not Thy
[22:39]severity!
[22:40]I am the offender against himself!
[22:42]I am the hostage to his own affliction!
[22:46]I am short in shame!
[22:49]I am long in suffering!
[22:52]By the right of him whom Thou hast distinguished among Thy creation
[22:57]and by him whom Thou hast chosen for Thyself!
[23:00]By the right of him whom Thou hast selected from among Thy
[23:04]creatures and by him whom Thou hast picked for Thy task!
[23:07]By the right of him the obeying of whom Thou hast joined
[23:11]to obeying Thee, and by him the disobeying of whom Thou hast
[23:15]made like disobeying Thee!
[23:16]And by the right of him whose friendship Thou hast bound to
[23:21]Thy friendship and by him whose enmity Thou hast linked to Thine
[23:26]enmity!
[23:26]Shield me in this day of mine, by that through which Thou
[23:32]shieldest him who prays fervently to Thee while disavowing and him who
[23:38]seeks refuge in Thy forgiveness while repenting!
[23:41]Attend to me with that through which Thou attendest to the people
[23:46]of obedience toward Thee, proximity to Thee, and rank with Thee!
[23:50]Single me out, as Thou singlest him out who fulfils Thy covenant,
[23:57]fatigues himself for Thy sake alone, and exerts himself in Thy good
[24:03]pleasure!
[24:04]Take me not to task for my neglect in respect to Thee,
[24:08]my transgressing the limit in Thy bounds, and stepping outside Thy ordinances!
[24:15]Draw me not on little by little by granting me a respite,
[24:18]like the drawing on little by little of him who withholds from
[24:22]me the good he has by not sharing with Thee in letting
[24:27]favour down upon me!
[24:28]Arouse me from the sleep of the heedless, the slumber of the
[24:33]prodigal, and the dozing of the forsaken!
[24:36]Take my heart to that in which Thou hast employed the devout,
[24:42]enthralled the worshipers, and rescued the remiss!
[24:49]Give me refuge from that which will keep me far from Thee,
[24:53]come between me and my share from Thee, and bar me from
[24:59]that which I strive for in Thee!
[25:01]Make easy for me the road of good deeds toward Thee, racing
[25:06]to them from where Thou hast commanded, and coveting them as Thou
[25:14]desirest!
[25:14]Efface me not along with those whom Thou effacest for thinking lightly
[25:19]of what Thou hast promised!
[25:21]Destroy me not with those whom Thou destroyest for exposing themselves to
[25:27]Thy hate!
[25:27]Annihilate me not among those whom Thou annihilatest for deviating from Thy
[25:34]roads!
[25:34]Deliver me from the floods of trial, save me from the gullets
[25:40]of affliction, and grant me sanctuary from being seized by respite!
[25:44]Come between me and the enemy who misguides me, the caprice which
[25:49]ruins me, and the failing which overcomes me!
[25:53]Turn not away from me with the turning away in wrath from
[25:57]one with whom Thou art not pleased!
[25:59]Let me not lose heart in expecting from Thee, lest I be
[26:04]overcome by despair of Thy mercy!
[26:07]Grant me not that which I cannot endure, lest Thou weighest me
[26:13]down with the surplus of Thy love which Thou loadest upon me!
[26:17]Send me not from Thy hand, the sending of him who possesses
[26:22]no good, toward whom Thou hast no need, and who turns not
[26:27]back [to Thee]!
[26:28]Cast me not with the casting of him who has fallen from
[26:32]the eye of Thy regard and been wrapped in degradation from Thee!
[26:37]Rather take my hand [and save me] from the falling of the
[26:42]stumblers, the disquiet of the deviators, the slip of those deluded, and
[26:47]the plight of the perishers!
[26:49]Release me from that with which Thou hast afflicted the ranks of
[26:54]Thy servants and handmaids and make me reach the utmost degrees of
[26:58]him about whom Thou art concerned, towards whom Thou showest favour, and
[27:01]with whom Thou art pleased, so that Thou lettest him live as
[27:05]one praiseworthy and takest him to Thee as one felicitous!
[27:08]Collar me with the collar of abstaining from that which makes good
[27:13]deeds fail and takes away blessings!
[27:16]Impart to my heart restraint before ugly works of evil and disgraceful
[27:23]misdeeds!
[27:24]Divert me not by that which I cannot reach except through Thee
[27:28]from doing that which alone makes Thee pleased with me!
[27:32]Root out from my heart the love of this vile world, which
[27:36]keeps from everything which is with Thee, bars from seeking the mediation
[27:41]to Thee, and distracts from striving for nearness to Thee!
[27:46]Embellish for me solitude in prayer whispered to Thee by night and
[27:52]by day!
[27:52]Give me a preservation which will bring me close to dread of
[27:57]Thee, cut me off from committing things made unlawful by Thee, and
[28:01]spare me from captivation by dreadful sins!
[28:04]Give me purification from the defilement of disobedience, take away from me
[28:10]the filth of offenses, dress me in the dress of Thy well-being,
[28:15]cloak me in the cloak of Thy release, wrap me in Thy
[28:20]ample favours, and clothe me in Thy bounty and Thy graciousness!
[28:25]Strengthen me with Thy giving success and Thy pointing the right way,
[28:30]help me toward righteous intention, pleasing words, and approved works, and entrust
[28:38]me not to my force and my strength in place of Thy
[28:42]force and Thy strength!
[28:44]Degrade me not on the day Thou raisest me up to meet
[28:49]Thee, disgrace me not before Thy friends, make me not forget remembering
[28:54]Thee, take not away from me thanking Thee, but enjoin it upon
[28:59]me in states of inattention when the ignorant are heedless of Thy
[29:04]boons, and inspire me to laud what Thou hast done for me
[29:09]and confess to what Thou hast conferred upon me!
[29:13]Place my beseeching Thee above the beseeching of the beseechers and my
[29:19]praise of Thee above the praise of the praisers!
[29:22]Abandon me not with my neediness for Thee, destroy me not for
[29:28]what I have done for Thee, and slap not my brow with
[29:32]that with which Thou slappest the brow of those who contend with
[29:35]Thee, for I am submitted to Thee.
[29:39]I know that the argument is Thine, that Thou art closest to
[29:44]bounty, most accustomed to beneficence, "worthy of reverent fear, and worthy of
[29:49]forgiveness" that Thou art closer to pardoning than to punishing, and that
[29:56]Thou art nearer to covering over than to making notorious!
[30:01]Let me live an agreeable life that will tie together what I
[30:06]want and reach what I love while I not bring what Thou
[30:11]dislikest and not commit what Thou hast prohibited; and make me die
[30:17]the death of him whose light runs before him and on his
[30:21]right hand!
[30:22]Abase me before Thyself and exalt me before Thy creatures, lower me
[30:28]when I am alone with Thee and raise me among Thy servants,
[30:33]free me from need for him who has no need of me
[30:37]and increase me in neediness and poverty toward Thee!
[30:41]Give me refuge from the gloating of enemies, the arrival of affliction,
[30:48]lowliness and suffering!
[30:50]Shield me in what Thou seest from me, the shielding of him
[30:56]who would have power over violence had he no clemency, and would
[31:01]seize for misdeeds had he no lack of haste!
[31:06]When Thou desirest for a people a trial or an evil, deliver
[31:10]me from it, for I seek Thy shelter; and since Thou hast
[31:15]not stood me in the station of disgrace in this world of
[31:18]Thine, stand me not in such a station in the next world
[31:22]of Thine!
[31:23]Couple for me the beginnings of Thy kindnesses with their ends and
[31:28]the ancient of Thy benefits with the freshly risen!
[31:31]Prolong not my term with a prolonging through which my heart will
[31:36]harden!
[31:36]Strike me not with a striking that will take away my radiance!
[31:42]Visit me not with a meanness that will diminish my worth or
[31:47]a deficiency that will keep my rank unknown!
[31:51]Frighten me not with a fright by which I will despair or
[31:56]a terror through which I will dread, but make me stand in
[32:02]awe of Thy threat, take precautions against Thy leaving no excuses and
[32:07]Thy warning, and tremble at the recitation of Thy verses!
[32:10]Fill my night with life by keeping me awake therein for worshipping
[32:15]Thee, solitude with vigil for Thee, exclusive devotion to reliance upon Thee,
[32:22]setting my needs before Thee, and imploring that Thou wilt set my
[32:28]neck free from the Fire and grant me sanctuary from Thy chastisement,
[32:33]within which its inhabitants dwell!
[32:35]Leave me not blindly wandering in my insolence or inattentive in my
[32:42]perplexity for a time, make me not an admonition to him who
[32:47]takes admonishment, a punishment exemplary for him who takes heed, a trial
[32:52]for him who observes, devise not against me along with those against
[32:57]whom Thou devisest, replace me not with another, change not my name,
[33:04]transform not my body, appoint me not a mockery for Thy creatures,
[33:10]a laughing-stock for Thyself, a follower of anything but Thy good pleasure,
[33:15]a menial servant for anything but avenging Thee!
[33:21]Let me find the coolness of Thy pardon and the sweetness of
[33:26]Thy mercy, Thy repose, Thy ease, and the garden of Thy bliss!
[33:31]Let me taste, through some of Thy boundless plenty, the flavour of
[33:35]being free for what Thou lovest and striving in what brings about
[33:40]proximity with Thee and to Thee, and give me a gift from
[33:45]among Thy gifts!
[33:46]Make my commerce profitable and my return without loss, fill me with
[33:53]fear of Thy station, make me yearn for the meeting with Thee,
[33:57]and allow me to repent with an unswerving repentance along with which
[34:02]Thou lettest no sins remain, small or large, and leavest no wrongs,
[34:09]open or secret!
[34:11]Root out rancour toward the faithful from my breast, bend my heart
[34:18]toward the humble, be toward me as Thou art toward the righteous,
[34:24]adorn me with the adornment of the godfearing, appoint for me a
[34:28]goodly report among those yet to come and a growing remembrance among
[34:33]the later folk, and take me to the plain of those who
[34:37]came first!
[34:38]Complete the lavishness of Thy favour upon me, clothe me in its
[34:44]repeated generosities, fill my hand with Thy benefits, drive Thy generous gifts
[34:51]to me, make me the neighbour of the best of Thy friends
[34:57]in the Gardens which Thou hast adorned for Thy chosen and wrap
[35:02]me in Thy noble presents in the stations prepared for Thy beloveds!
[35:09]Appoint for me a resting place with Thee where I may seek
[35:14]haven in serenity, and a resort to which I may revert and
[35:19]rest my eyes, weigh not against me my dreadful misdeeds, destroy me
[35:26]not on "the day the secrets are tried" eliminate from me every
[35:31]doubt and uncertainty, appoint for me a way in the truth from
[35:37]every mercy, make plentiful for me the portions of gifts from Thy
[35:41]granting of awards, and fill out for me the shares of beneficence
[35:46]from Thy bestowal of bounty!
[35:47]Make my heart trust in what is with Thee and my concern
[35:53]free for what is Thine, employ me in that in which Thou
[35:58]employest Thy pure friends, drench my heart with Thy obedience when intellects
[36:04]are distracted, and combine within me independence, continence, ease, release, health, plenty,
[36:12]tranquillity, and well being!
[36:16]Make not fail my good deeds through my disobedience that stains them
[36:21]or my private times of worship through the instigations of Thy trial!
[36:27]Safeguard my face from asking from anyone in the world, and drive
[36:34]me far from begging for that which is with the ungodly!
[36:38]Make me not an aid to the wrongdoers, nor their hand and
[36:45]helper in erasing Thy Book!
[36:47]Defend me whence I know not with a defense through which Thou
[36:52]protectest me!
[36:53]Open toward me the gates of Thy repentance, Thy mercy, Thy clemency,
[37:00]and Thy boundless provision!
[37:02]Surely I am one of those who beseech Thee!
[37:05]And complete Thy favour toward me!
[37:07]Surely Thou art the best of those who show favour!
[37:10]Place the rest of my life in the hajj and the Umra
[37:15]seeking Thy face, O Lord of the worlds!
[37:18]And may God bless Muhammad and his Household, the good, the pure,
[37:25]and peace be upon him and them always and forever!
