On every year, your heart remains as
خيمة عزاء الخدام
The tent for the servants’ memorials
وانت يا مهدينه كلبك
O’ Mahdi, your heart
بي جمر حرگ اخيام
Carries embers from the scorching of the tents
يالرافع بكل غروب
With every sunset, you raise
ثوب الحسين المخضوب
The blood-drenched shirt of Hussain
وهوه كل واحد محرم
On every year, on the first of Muharram
يبتدي حجي كلوب
The hearts begin speaking
سيدي خذ يدي
Master, take my palms
بالدمع مولدي
I was born with tears
ردتت منك جرح صدگي حتى من عدها ابتدي
I wanted a true wound from you, so that I can begin from it
يا عشگ ينشبگ
You’re the love I embrace
يا هو ينشهگ
You’re the air I breathe
انته بوّابه محرم للي رايد يحترگ
You’re the path towards Muharram for those who seek anguish
شيعتك تنجمع
Your Shias gather
عل العهد والدمع
As they’ve promised, on tears
انته يا عيسى المواجع أنفخ بروحي الحزن
O’ Jesus of sorrow, fill my soul with sorrow
يا وريث الجرح
O’ inheritor of the wound
گلبك اعله الرمح
Your heart is anguished upon the spears
ومن تمر طاري الرماح العاليه گلبك يحن
Whenever they are mentioned, your heart feels woe
متانيك ويه اليتنون
I await you with those who await
وشاتلك عيون عيون
I grew eyes for your sake
هنا يملاج المدامع
O’ angel of tears
من العشگ رايد لون
From this love, I seek an identity
سجلّني ويه اليبجون
Accept me with those who weep
وانه اعرف الي يخدمون
I know that those who serve
ذوله لا خوفاً عليهم ولا هم اليحزنون
There is no fear upon them
خوفي لا انمنع
I fear that I would be restricted
بالدمع اصطنع
And that I would have to fake my tears
خيط شمعه كون اصيرن واحترگ قبل الشمع
I wish to be a candle which which burns even before the candle
دمعتي قصتي
My tear becomes my tale
واللطم وغايتي
Chest beating is my purpose
گلبي شيله وخلي جمرة حتى اضل بحرگتي
Remove my heart and place an ember, so that I remain despaired
يا كليم الألم
O’ spokesman of pain
من نفوس الخدم
From the souls of the servants
گلي ما تلك بيمينك عصى لو جمرة خيم
Tell me what you hold in your palm, is it a stick or an ember from the tents?
الطف بريد الگلب
Karbala is the messenger of the hearts
الطف جرحنه الصعب
Karbala is our great wound
هو أحيانا برحمته من رميم العدم
It has resurrected us from transient

يالباچي للطف إضعاف
You’ve wept countlessly upon Karbala
بس احنه ما عدنه أنصاف
Our weeps are incomparable to yours
احنه نسمع وانته شايف
We only heard of the calamity, you’ve seen it
والسمع غير الشاف
Hearing of it is different than seeing it
شفت الذبح شفت الخيل
You saw the slaughter and the horses
شفت الحسين بلا حيل
You saw Hussain helpless
بعالم احساسك رقيه
You saw Ruqayyah
الطلعت بذاك الليل
As she departed in the darkness of night
كل عصر تنكسر
You’re devastated with every noon
من يرد المهر
When the horse returns
وانته كل دمعه بمحرم سيدي تكبرك عمر
With every tear in Muharram, you age a lifetime
ذكرى التألمك
A memory which agonizes you
والجرح يرسمك
The wound draws you
سيدي ما من جزوعٍ يعينك اعله محرمك
Master, there is no devastated mourners to console you in Muharram
وحده كلبي طلع
My heart was crushed
من ثنايا الوجع
By the woe
كلبي من يدرك محرم ينحيي بكلبي النبض
When my heart senses Muharram, its heartbeat returns
محرمك من يهب
When your Muharram arrives
بوصله الكل محب
It is a compass for every lover
هو قطب الحب الأعظم للضمير اليتعض
It is the great love for the conscious hearts
