The heroics of Imam Ali (as) in the battle of Uhud.

As Hamza fell to the swords of Quraysh and the Muslims moved from their positions, chaos ensued. Sand blew in the air scattering flesh and blood. Muslims began to run in every direction shouting 'Muhammad is dead! Muhammad is dead!' Only one man remained on the battlefield, alone, looking around for RasoolAllah (S). Ali, fought an army, by himself.

إِذْ قَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرًا فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (35)
فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنثَىٰ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالْأُنثَىٰ ۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ (36)
فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا ۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا ۖ قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا ۖ قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ (37)
هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ (38)
فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَىٰ مُصَدِّقًا بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدًا وَحَصُورًا وَنَبِيًّا مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (39)
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ ۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ اللَّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ (40)
قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّي آيَةً ۖ قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًا ۗ وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ كَثِيرًا وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ (41)
وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ (42)

مالك الأشتر هو مالك بن الحارث النخعي (وفاة 39 هـ)، من خاصّة أمير المؤمنين، ومن أبرز قادة جيشه في معركتي الجمل، وصفين، ومن وجوه العراق وشجعانه. وقد أوكل إليه ولاية مصر التي استشهد في طريقه إليها، وهو صاحب العهد المشهور الذي كتبه له أمير المؤمنين  حينماً عيّنه والياً على مصر.

تدور القصة حول شاب معاق (حسن) يتعرض لجلطة دماغية ويحاول الأطباء نقل قلبه لشخص آخر، ولكن روح حسن ضد ذلك وتسعى كثيرا كي يعود الى الحياة لأنه يعلم أنه في هذه الحالة يجب أن يهاجر إلى عالم آخر....

Transcript:
God asks: What do you consider value to be? If value is in strength and height and these types of things, then trees, rocks, mountains, and mountain ranges are superior to you. If value is in spirituality, intelligence, the spirit, and divine knowledge, then you are greater than the heavens and the earth. The Qur'an has mentioned both aspects.

Luqman the Wise said to his son [Qur'an 31:18]: How can you walk around pridefully? Why do you walk around this way with this posture and appearance? You who weighs maybe 100 kilograms, well then these stones [that are heavier] are superior to you. "Do not walk arrogantly on the earth. Surely, neither will you tear the earth apart nor will you reach the mountains in height" [Qur'an 17:37]. So what do you mean? All of these stones are stronger than you. All of these trees are mightier than you.

If you think wisely, and if you follow the path of Ali ibn Ali Talib (a), then you can say..."The heavens could not bear the heavy trust, They allotted the duty to me, a madman" [Hafez]. Something arises from you that does not arise from the heavens or the earth. "Indeed we offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they all declined to bear it, being fearful of it. But the human being undertook it" [Qur'an 33:72].

So if the human being is reduced to just the physical body, then the earth is superior to him, the stone is heavier than him. Now assuming that someone was powerful and was able to lift a large load, well these cranes and forklifts can lift larger loads.

The perfection of the human being lies in something else! We should not forget that primary way. With one fever, one virus, [the body] tires and succumbs. With a minor virus, with just a cold, this [physical] power is lost. Something must be prepared to remain [eternally], and this is what all the efforts and endeavors of the prophet's is for.

These two aspects have been differentiated by the Qur'an and it says...If you think from a bodily perspective, all of these things on which you walk upon or live under their shadows are stronger and more powerful than you. If you think from the perspective of your heart, spirit, soul, intellect, and divine reality, then you are greater than all these things.
