After the treaty of Hudaybiyya was broken, Prophet Muhammad gathered a group of 10,000 Muslims and marched into Mecca. After 20 years the moment arrived where he finally held the advantage over Quraysh, and even though revenge for all the oppression he and his followers had endured would have been completely justified, he pardoned the transgressors.
Truth has arrived, and falsehood has vanished. Surely, falsehood is a vanishing thing. {Quran - 17:81}
Hadith al-Kisaa as narrated by the wife of the Prophet (s), Um Salama.
The Ahlulbayt were those under the cloak, namely the Prophet, Ali, Fatima, Hassan and Hussain.
The verse of purification in the Quran {33:33} was revealed about them.

Note: There are two main sources for Hadith al-Kisaa. The one people usually recite goes back to Jaber al-Ansari, whereas this version is based on Um Salama's report.
Ultimately, they both lead to the same conclusion, in that the Ahlulbayt were the people under the cloak, and that {33:33} refers to them.
In this session, we discuss the conflicting reports on the Blessed Prophet's life. We go through his birth, his youth, his marriage to Sayeda Khadija and his relationship with the young Ali ibn Abi Talib.
