Day 11 Video

This 2-unit prayer comes highly recommended by the Ahlulbayt and emphasised upon by our scholars. Watch this short clip to understand how to perform it. Details of this salah are below:

Narrated from Imam Sadiq (a):
Found in Al-Kafi vol 3 and The commentary of Ayatollah Sistani of Al-Urwat Al-Wuthqa:

Recite 2 Rokat Salah. At the end gift the thawab to the Prophet (s)

Then say following:

اللهم أنت السلام ومنك السلام وإليك يرجع السلام اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد وبلغ روح محمد مني السلام ، وبلغ أرواح الأئمة الصالحين سلامي ، وأردد علي منهم السلام ، والسلام عليهم ورحمة الله وبركاته ، اللهم إن هاتين الركعتين مني هدية إلى رسول الله فاثبني عليهما ما أملت ورجوت فيك وفي رسولك يا ولي المؤمنين

4. You go to Sajda and recite 40 times:

يا حي يا قيوم يا حيا لا يموت يا حي لا إله إلا أنت يا ذا الجلال والأكرام يا أرحم الراحمين

5. Place your right cheek on ground and repeat 40 times:

يا حي يا قيوم يا حيا لا يموت يا حي لا إله إلا أنت يا ذا الجلال والأكرام يا أرحم الراحمين

6. Place your left cheek on ground and repeat 40 times:

يا حي يا قيوم يا حيا لا يموت يا حي لا إله إلا أنت يا ذا الجلال والأكرام يا أرحم الراحمين

7. Move your index finger and repeat 40 times:

يا حي يا قيوم يا حيا لا يموت يا حي لا إله إلا أنت يا ذا الجلال والأكرام يا أرحم الراحمين


8. Hold your beard (or face) with your left hand and try to cry or pretend to cry

9. Then say:

يا محمد يا رسول الله أشكو إلى الله و إليك حاجتي ، وإلى أهل بيتك الراشدين حاجتي ، وبكم أتوجه إلى الله في حاجتي


Go to sajda and say ‘Ya Allaah’ until you need to breath. Then say
صل على محمد وآل محمد وافعل بي

Then ask your hajaat. Imam Sadiq (a) says I guarantee that it will be fulfilled by Allah (swt).
