From the 60s onward, Pakistani Shias immigrated to the United States, looking for better opportunities. Wherever they went, they had an incredible urge to commemorate Ashura. Meanwhile, the Khoja Shia from East Africa were slowly building their own communities, leaving Africa in search of a better home.

This cemetery contains the graves of the Prophets Grandsons, family memebrs and some prominent companions. But on 8th Shawwal 1345 the mausoleums in Jannatul al-Baqi were demolished by King Ibn Saud. A documentary searching into the hatred against the family of the Prophet Mohammed.

After years of conflict, Dr Rebecca Masterton heads back to war torn Syria. Journey with her as she returns to the blessed shrines of the Ahlulbayt while meeting those most affected by the war, from the orphans & widows to the aid workers and army personnel protecting the Shrines.
