As there is no fully comprehensive and accurate biography of the Prophet (s), there many hadiths about him without a reliable chain of narrators. Generally speaking, the types of hadith which are accepted about the Prophet (s) are those that do not contradict the Quran. Where there are gaps, we must use the power of reason as well as historical analysis to give us a better picture of the life of the Prophet (s).
