The Death of Ammar bin Yasser: Ijtihad or Treachery?

In the name of Allah,

Ammar bin Yasser was killed in the battle of Siffeen, who takes responsibility, who is to blame, does his killer get rewarded for killing one of the greatest companions of the Prophet (SAWA) or is he considered a treacherous murders?
