[0:15]motions the first emotion is that of oh my god why are

[0:27]it's the night program so I had to throw that it so

[0:35]was what who remembers was sadness but this year I want it

[0:44]to be encouragement I want it to be hope I want it

[0:49]to be movement I want everybody well no I'm not going to

[1:08]hay the title of my talk this time is diversity through unity

[1:14]or unity through diversity and so what state are we in now

[1:17]and where do we want to go what does this title even

[1:21]mean let's start to think about that a little bit well let's

[1:23]take a look it's very clear that Islam is not in the

[1:27]am i speaking too fast well it's too too bad it's we're

[1:30]not in the greatest of conditions right now right well let's take

[1:32]a look over on the east we have these guys who aren't

[1:35]really giving us the best of images right and then over on

[1:39]the west things aren't very different right we have these guys especially

[1:43]that guy on the bottom right he's yo all right god bless

[1:47]jimmy fallon he's huge they're not causing the best of situations for

[1:56]us as Muslims right now in the West so what do nations

[1:58]do what do groups of people do when they're hit to this

[2:05]point that really there's nothing left I mean everybody's looking at us

[2:11]weird now right we need a save here we need a group

[2:14]that's going to be able to come and save us from all

[2:20]of these alien like forces that we showed earlier who is that

[2:25]of course the superhero team that saved New York from all of

[2:33]these people are going to come to our Savior but there's a

[2:37]problem what's the problem they don't have a job and they're not

[2:41]Muslims we can't rely on them to save us so who are

[2:47]we going to look to save us we can take one lesson

[2:50]from them though and that one lesson is that they put together

[2:53]a very diverse team a very diverse group of individuals each of

[2:57]which each of which does their own job to be able to

[3:03]do what save not just a religion or an ethnicity but the

[3:11]entire world and often the state of New York so let's do

[3:13]that let's scout and we're only going to look in the northeast

[3:16]of the United States because clearly the Savior's are going to come

[3:20]from the west so let's see let's scout let's take a look

[3:22]at all of the different messages in the northeast of the united

[3:26]states only and there's a very interesting thing you don't have to

[3:28]dig very far we're a very segmented group of people apparently we

[3:31]have three major groups that we're going to go and select from

[3:36]one before i jump to this next part if anybody finds anything

[4:01]to go to these three different communities and we're going to select

[4:04]our savior's our hopefuls the guys who are going to come and

[4:11]save Islam from this peril the first we have to give them

[4:15]a name the Islamic Society of intelligent Muslims oh boy it was

[4:26]that close right otherwise known as Ison so let's meet these guys

[4:31]who are they the first sooo bad man sorry we don't have

[5:00]there the Iranians know everything about everything and you know what the

[6:30]right so where did they all meet of course the free Wi-Fi

[6:33]right it has to be the free Wi-Fi and the okay coffee

[6:41]three years later they came up with a planet all right by

[6:49]2017 let's take a look at their plan their plan is threefold

[6:52]first they want to address the young ones next they want to

[6:55]address the youth the youth and third they would like to address

[7:03]the adults right if they hit these three targets everything solved let's

[7:07]see what they have now remember they grew up in the West

[7:10]right so they're going to start to use some of the ideas

[7:16]from the west to make some of their solutions let's see how

[7:18]well that works out for them so they're going to start with

[7:22]redefining the Islamic holidays for our children I mean seriously it's Christmas

[7:26]and we all feel it isn't it amazing there is this honest

[7:29]to god Christmas spirit that comes out at the Orions room like

[7:36]as a tease on give piece of Angela this envoy of el

[7:39]Conejo right but anyways the Christmas holidays are unbelievable in the States

[7:44]well let's take a look at why there's Christmas carolers there's a

[7:47]Christmas tree their stockings there's gifts and then there's a Santa this

[7:57]nice jolly old fat man who comes down the chimneys and gives

[8:05]us presence right our superheroes take on this let's take a look

[8:13]at Superman suggestion of course be happy with what you have right

[8:18]and on top of that I'm the lowest shukran allah now you

[8:22]can't even debate with him he's brought God in the picture just

[8:25]not going to work be happy with this the Iranian was responsible

[8:30]for bringing our hero to compete with Santa who do they bring

[9:42]university's they're starting to major in different things well let's take a

[9:46]look and see what do the people of the West major in

[9:49]right I asked some of my friends at work today an anthro

[9:53]physio poly scientists psychologists and then when I say what yeah we

[9:59]study cultural ships oh okay because I don't get it but oh

[10:04]so you can't really see it on the slide so there's a

[10:06]lot of different majors it's really cool actually when you get to

[10:08]meet some of the really smart people for us what do our

[10:14]guys come up with what is the recommendation that we have three

[10:19]either you are an engineer headed into the IT field you are

[10:26]becoming a doctor or you are not going to school because you

[10:29]are going to take care of the family bizarre one of these

[10:32]three things if you do anything outside of these three things we're

[10:36]going to disown you you can't be part of our circle guys

[10:40]has to be one of these three things and of course all

[10:44]right for the adults they're going to come to entertainment maybe the

[10:51]brother that was here up here before me from pixie might be

[10:55]able to use some of their thoughts I wouldn't recommend it but

[10:57]maybe what are we competing with I mean come on Star Wars

[11:03]just came out a space you know different aliens the world's coming

[11:07]to an end everybody saves them the Lord of the Rings right

[11:12]you have the hobbits you have the elves you have the men

[11:14]you have the dwarves you have the n slings you have all

[11:17]of these different folks working together to save the world The Hunger

[11:22]Games no not Ramadan the revolution that comes in starts and takes

[11:25]care of everything in the world well let's see what our guys

[11:27]have so Superman what do you got something if you're a an

[12:33]shoes number one dad doesn't have money to buy little sister little

[12:42]shoes boy jumps in a race to see if he can now

[12:43]get shoes price for shoes his second place he runs the race

[12:50]he runs it he gets first and he's devastated he's devastated that

[12:55]he got first place he wanted second place because he wanted the

[13:03]shoes number two the last one the dad buys to grow shows

[13:09]yes the girls going to get shoes the movie ends did the

[13:16]girl get the shoes you didn't show me if the girl got

[13:19]the shoes just show me take my shoes for God's sakes I

[13:25]mean come on Oh alright alright depressing is not the way to

[13:37]go we know that what do you think I'm good she has

[13:44]you guys ready you seriously ready to jb car door John awesome

[13:55]Yahoo daha deevana son i am going to summarize for you every

[14:06]indian flick that comes out with two sentences that is impressive because

[14:12]that is over a hundred thousand movies a year for the past

[14:16]hundred years are you ready two sentences you can keep count boy

[14:27]can't have girl boy gets girl that is three and a half

[14:30]hours per movie you guys should be paying me for saving you

[14:35]all of that time then watching these movies is this gonna work

[14:39]you guys think this is going to work are they going to

[14:44]be able to save us from those guys we showed earlier I

[14:48]don't think so I doubt it right but anyways so clearly something's

[14:53]wrong clearly something is really really wrong and what is that let's

[14:56]take a look what is the commonality between all of these it

[14:59]seems like culture is at the core and religion surrounds the culture

[15:07]does that make sense it's a very subtle point it seems like

[15:10]we are a very culture I mean think about it how else

[15:15]could we segment ourselves so well culture is at our core and

[15:18]religion surrounds it what if we did this what if we brought

[15:27]the religion at the center and surrounded that with the culture what

[15:33]would that look like what is the ayah that gives me that

[15:39]they're happy what this is a time when we can now join

[15:50]hands together in one common belief one common system understanding of our

[16:02]religion and it's not complicated it really isn't surround yourselves with this

[16:13]happen along hold onto it tight smile enjoy the presence of others

[16:17]become friends with them there is no out of there is no

[16:20]Iranian there is no desi there is no American it is one

[16:27]religion we are Muslim wats ya contributed so much to this world

[16:38]how is it possible that they now impossible impossible where did we

[16:46]go wrong are we losing something somewhere I don't think so we

[16:50]do this every year for the past the year 14 220 million

[17:05]Muslims every single here inshallah you guys enjoyed the ride it comes
