[0:04]I begin in the name of the almighty God the compassionate the

[0:10]merciful the one who has created everything in utmost Perfection and May

[0:19]the peace and blessings of the almighty God be upon his pure

[0:24]and beloved messenger the peak of his creation the symbol of humanity

[0:30]the holy prophet Muhammad and his Immaculate progeny of the peace be

[0:44]upon them especially the leader of our time the awaited Savior IM

[0:50]may Allah hasten his reappearance and make us all amongst his sincere

[0:56]and dedicated servants respected brothers and sisters failure that's a word that

[1:15]we dread we despise this word the thought of this word creates

[1:20]anxiety in us we have nightmares when we think about failing whether

[1:29]it's an exam that you're preparing for and you fear that you

[1:33]could fail that exam whether it's an interview that you have been

[1:41]awaiting and working so hard for whether it's a relationship a marriage

[1:47]that you're pursuing and you fear failing in it it's a word

[1:54]that creates anxiety in our lives we dread failing we hate failing

[2:02]it makes us depressed however while failure is something that we all

[2:13]dread it is one of the blessings of Allah subhah wa ta'ala

[2:19]that he has allowed us to experience and failure is a necessary

[2:27]step to success for many people we dread to fail but it

[2:34]is through failure that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala trains us I would

[2:40]like to share with you one beautiful word of advice from the

[2:44]prophet sallallahu alai to one of his companions by the name of

[2:50][Music] Abdullah it's such a beautiful statement from the prophet but let

[2:59]me give you some background behind where the Prophet sallallahu alai said

[3:05]this in the eighth year of the Hijra this is about 2

[3:10]three years before the prophet sallallahu alaihi passed away the famous battle

[3:15]of M took place that's the battle where ja the brother of

[3:23]IM aliam was martyred this was in the eth year of the

[3:25]Hijra the reason why this battle happened is that the prophet sallallah

[3:31]alai sent one of his Messengers one of his companions by the

[3:39]name of ALB the prophet told him take this letter and I

[3:44]want you to hand deliver it to the ruler of Syria the

[3:51]ruler of Syria his name was also Al Alani he was ruling

[4:00]Syria at the time on behalf of the Roman Byzantine emperor herculis

[4:06]so the prophet tells us companion take this letter to him let's

[4:11]form an alliance let's talk to one another I would like to

[4:17]introduce the ruler of Syria to the religion of Islam he takes

[4:22]the letter of the prophet sallallah he goes to Syria on his

[4:29]way to Syria once he arrives at the border by a town

[4:37]called busra the governor of that town arrested him his name was

[5:08]tells him the truth he tells him my Prophet has sent a

[5:11]letter to your ruler so I would like to hand deliver this

[5:17]letter to the ruler of Syria Al alasani that's why I'm here

[5:23]he tells him you're here to send a letter from your Prophet

[5:27]to our ruler he imprisons him then he ties his hands and

[5:31]feet and then he Slaughters him he beheads him he's a messenger

[5:37]look at this evil Act of terrorism that this evil dictator inflicted

[5:43]on one of the companions of the Prophet this very tragic incident

[5:49]happened and it really shook the Muslim Community cuz the man went

[5:54]peacefully he's not carrying any arms he's just delivering a letter to

[5:58]the ruler on what basis do you Slaughter him like that then

[6:02]another tragedy happened 15 of the prophet's companions they went to another

[6:07]region in Syria to make contact with the people there were people

[6:12]who were interested in knowing about the religion of Islam so the

[6:15]locals in that area they made a surprise attack on these 15

[6:19]Companions and they killed 14 of them the 15th one you know

[6:25]how he saved his life he acted like he was dead he

[6:29]played dead in the battlefield at night he got up he fled

[6:34]he came to the prophet sallallahu alaih in Medina and he told

[6:38]him what happened the prophet had to take action and there was

[6:44]news coming to Arabia that the Roman Byzantine Empire was planning a

[6:51]very serious attack against Islam they wanted to uproot Muslims so the

[6:56]prophet had to take action to defend Muslims the prophet sallallahu alaihi

[7:01]Al mobilized 3,000 Muslim fighters to go North to stop them and

[7:08]to show them that don't think you can come easily to Medina

[7:13]and uproot us we have Warriors even though our numbers are small

[7:17]but we're strong we can overcome you so the prophet mobilized 3,000

[7:22]Muslims to go and fight you know the Byzantine Romans how many

[7:27]fighters they mobilized 200 100,000 3,000 versus 200,000 was a very serious

[8:48]he tells him the territory that you're going there are few people

[8:55]who prostrate so I want you to prolong your sujud when you're

[9:00]in Syria very few people there prostrate to Allah and Allah loves

[9:05]the act of prostrating there are many types of worship but the

[9:08]sujud the prostration is one of the best types of worship so

[9:13]I want you to prolong your sujud see how valuable the sujud

[9:21]is especially when you live in a community in a society in

[9:24]a country in a state in a village where there are few

[9:27]worshippers who worship Allah sub wa ta'ala few people who prostrate realize

[9:33]the value of your sujud it has much more value than if

[9:37]you were in a Muslim country and everyone is prostrating this is

[9:42]the advice that the prophet sallallahu Al gives him and he's giving

[9:45]all of us this advice the power that you can seek from

[9:49]your suud is beyond any description brothers and sisters even scientifically when

[9:56]you analyze the sujud it does Wonder to your mental health and

[10:05]to your brain as one doctor puts it he says the state

[10:07]of sujud when you're prostrating it's as if your brain is being

[10:13]massaged how because the suud is really the only natural position where

[10:24]the heart is above the brain imagine visualize someone doing suud your

[10:31]heart is higher than the level of your brain that pumps blood

[10:35]directly to your brain and it applies pressure to your frontal lobe

[10:39]that's the area that's responsible for critical thinking for a lot of

[10:45]your emotions so when there is pressure in that area it actually

[10:49]puts you in peace it relieves you so as this doctor put

[10:54]it it's like it's massaging your brain the act of sujud massages

[10:58]your brain and that's why SU gives you so much comfort and

[11:01]relief I've had people who would struggle with depression anxiety and they

[11:09]ask if there are any spiritual remedies for that one powerful spiritual

[11:14]remedy is sujud try it a sister once told me say it

[11:20]after I started to do the sujud before I sleep at night

[11:23]and I prolonged my sujud I felt as if mountains of burdens

[11:28]were removed from my heart from my chest it gives you relief

[11:32]and this is the prescription that Allah subhana tala gives you in

[11:36]the Holy Quran the prophet sallallah would get depressed yes would get

[11:40]depressed because at the end of the day he's a human being

[11:45]he has emotions he goes through the same emotional suffering that we

[11:48]all go through he's not a robot and Allah acknowledges that in

[11:55]the Holy Quran when Allah states that we know that you're heart

[11:59]your chest becomes depressed by what they say we know that you

[12:12]get depressed your chest becomes tight because of what they say so

[12:15]what do you do Allah take out the sword and fight them

[12:19]no that's not the prescription that the Holy Quran gives the prescription

[12:22]that the Holy Quran gives us the following fall into sujud and

[12:32]glorify Allah and praise him fall into sujud brothers and sisters tonight

[12:37]try it at home 5 to 10 minutes take a deep breath

[12:41]and say thank you Ya Allah I glorify you Ya Allah I

[12:49]guarantee you you will see a difference if you're struggling with uneasy

[13:14]it's also called earthing I encourage all of you tonight if you

[13:19]have time go after the and I want you to research what

[13:24]grounding is and what earthing is do you know that when you

[13:27]allow your body parts to touch touch the Earth not the carpet

[13:34]but the actual Earth the dust of the Earth or the TBA

[13:36]that you prostrate on that does amazing things to your body it

[13:44]gives you the power of healing doctors have noticed that you know

[13:51]the Earth is electrically charged you have all these electrons from the

[13:55]earth flowing into your body that reduces inflammation in your body it's

[14:00]an anti antioxidant it protects you against cancer it protects you against

[14:06]diabetes it protects you against a lot of diseases and that's why

[14:10]the religion of Islam recommended Believers to sleep on the earth touch

[14:13]the Earth prostrate on the earth IM is Abu the father of

[14:19]Earth he used to sleep on the earth that does wonders to

[14:22]the body Today We Live in buildings right we wear shoes we

[14:28]don't really touch the Earth rarely would you touch the Earth these

[14:31]days you're either in your car or wearing shoes and you're not

[14:37]allowing yourself to benefit from the charges of the Earth the sujud

[14:42]gives you that opportunity you're the closest to the earth it truly

[14:46]does wonders so this was the first advice of the Prophet sallallahu

[14:52]alai prolong your sujud there because very few people there worship Allah

[14:58]subhana wa taala the second advice he told him be mindful of

[15:02]Allah obey Allah the third one is really interesting the third piece

[15:10]of advice the prophet Sall tells [Music] him beautiful words of advice

[15:24]from the prophet he tells him let me give you my third

[15:27]piece of advice here since you're asking asking for advice if you

[15:34]are incapable 10 times if you fail 10 times don't think that

[15:42]you cannot be capable that you cannot succeed once it's okay even

[15:48]if you fail 10 times you'll make it the next time the

[15:51]11th time you are going to make it you'll achieve success beautiful

[15:58]fast fascinating words from the prophet sallallahu alaih Al that truly give

[16:04]us hope when we think of failure when we experience failure the

[16:08]best thing that you can do for your mental health for your

[16:12]success is to listen to these words of you fail 10 times

[16:16]it's fine it's okay it's not the end of the world as

[16:20]long as you succeed once it's fine eventually you will succeed today

[16:26]many people are struck with anxiety and depression because of the fear

[16:34]of failure failing exams interviews someone may get fired you have a

[16:39]project that you're working on you fail it people have expectations relationships

[16:43]you fail your M you you're concerned your marriage is going to

[16:48]fail the thought of divorce I know some people they get depressed

[16:52]what if I go through divorce what if this happens to my

[16:55]children we're constantly in the state of anxiety because of the fear

[17:02]of failure and sometimes my dear brothers and sisters it becomes so

[17:07]serious it ends up claiming people's lives people become suicidal when they

[17:13]think that they're going to fail or they've experienced failure I'll never

[17:18]forget a few years ago I was in New York for two

[17:23]days Thursday and Friday there were two days of programs non-stop programs

[17:28]lectures conferences I didn't have time to properly check my voicemail and

[17:33]messages so I came back on a Saturday morning from New York

[17:40]I landed Detroit airport I turned on my phone and I noticed

[17:43]there was a voice message in the voicemail I played it I

[17:48]was still in the airplane before the airplane was taxiing I was

[17:52]listening to the message a brother from the community have left had

[17:55]had left me this message say my friend just went through a

[18:02]divorce and he's struggling his mental health is at his lowest and

[18:05]he's suicidal please we need to see you urgently so immediately I

[18:11]called him I told him I was out of town I just

[18:16]had the chance to check the message now the voicemail was left

[18:19]when Thursday two days earlier this was Saturday morning I told him

[18:23]I just arrived Michigan now I can see you today in the

[18:27]afternoon at noon what time can you come as soon soon as

[18:29]I spoke to him he broke into tears I told him what's

[18:36]the matter he told me say yesterday my friend committed suicide we

[18:40]lost him last night on the Friday night why because his marriage

[18:47]failed and he couldn't accept this failure this failure affected him so

[18:54]deeply unfortunately it claimed his life this is serious I know people

[18:58]in the community who have committed suicide because they failed an exam

[19:05]the MCAT the bar exam the naplex the SAT and there're so

[19:07]much pressure on them to succeed once they fail they cannot handle

[19:13]reality so sometimes Unfortunately they fall to Suicide so this is something

[19:21]that's serious let's take the words of the Prophet sallallahu alai Al

[19:26]here to see how we can find success and how failure is

[19:30]one of the gifts of Allah subhah wa ta'ala it just depends

[19:34]how you view failure and how you deal with failure I would

[19:37]like to share with you the following important points about failure my

[19:40]dear brothers and sisters because we all go through this crisis or

[19:44]you have a friend who's going through a similar crisis number one

[19:49]it's very important that when you fail in something don't allow that

[19:53]to Define you don't let failure Define you that I'm a failed

[19:58]human being I'm worthless fine you failed in that project the project

[20:04]failed it's not the end of the world it doesn't mean you're

[20:06]a bad person it doesn't mean people don't love you anymore people

[20:11]don't care about you anymore there are ignorant people who will judge

[20:14]you but there are a lot of people who will not it's

[20:18]not the end of the world if you fail never let failure

[20:23]Define you failure is an attribute of the action okay that action

[20:28]failed fine but it doesn't mean you as a human being you're

[20:34]a failure never fall into this trap to Define yourself based on

[20:40]the failure that you've experienced this is extremely important in saving your

[20:45]mental health in times of failure any type of failure it could

[20:50]be in your business it could be in your family life any

[20:52]type of failure do not allow it to Define you you're much

[20:58]greater than that that that's the first point the second Point failure

[21:02]is one of the greatest tools that Allah subhana tala gives you

[21:06]to succeed because failure allows you to examine your strengths and weaknesses

[21:13]anytime you fail in something take that as a message from Allah

[21:18]he's telling you where your weaknesses are learn from your failures many

[21:22]times you can even become more successful if you've gone through failure

[21:27]because you think outside the box you you do things differently many

[21:35]successful people became very successful because they failed miserably and every time

[21:42]they failed they learned something new they became more creative more strategic

[21:45]in their thinking Thomas Edison has a beautiful statement today we know

[21:52]him as this inventor a scientist he's got so much respect I

[21:56]myself I saw this quote for the first time when once I

[22:01]was in Florida in the for Myers area for a program one

[22:04]of the brothers took me to a museum that basically carries the

[22:11]legacy of Thomas Edison you can see some of his nice inventions

[22:14]I saw that quote there in that museum very fascinating he basically

[22:18]says he failed miserably before discovering how the light works to make

[22:24]that light bulb right he failed a lot his family his friends

[22:29]kept calling him a failure all these years you're testing in the

[22:32]lab and we don't see any success so you're a failure you

[22:35]know what he responded to them when they told him you failed

[22:41]10,000 times he told them I've not failed 10,000 times I've learned

[22:45]10,000 ways that don't work that in itself is knowledge because I

[22:52]know now what works and what doesn't and the more you know

[22:56]that something doesn't work the more you know that's knowledge in itself

[22:59]see how he flipped it and there you have him one of

[23:05]the biggest inventors of our modern era another very interesting figure who

[23:09]failed miserably is the following figure and I know most of you

[23:54]he finally got it and most of you have bought this vacuum

[23:59]now imagine if this person said you know what I failed a

[24:01]thousand times 2,000 times kalas enough enough I'm not going to get

[24:06]anywhere when you keep failing it's fine you're learning something adjust come

[24:13]up with a new plan don't just shut down when you go

[24:17]through failure use that failure as new Energy new fuel to discover

[24:24]something new that's how we advance my dear brothers and sisters sometimes

[24:29]Allah wants certain human beings or Humanity to fail in certain areas

[24:34]so they learn because if you don't fail you just do the

[24:36]same thing that has been done you're not going to reinvent you

[24:41]know the ways that you examine new ideas you're not going to

[24:44]think outside the box you'll just go with the flow I'm successful

[24:47]just like all these other successful people but those individuals who achieve

[24:53]amazing success study their lives they've usually experienced a lot of fa

[24:58]failure so one of the tools that Allah subhana T has given

[25:03]us to advance is failure that is the second very important point

[25:06]to consider when it comes to failure and remember the prophet sallallahu

[25:11]alai is telling Abdullah you fail 10 times it's okay that's fine

[25:16]if you can succeed once after that it's okay then you're successful

[25:21]don't let the failures suck the soul from your life and make

[25:27]you depressed and think that you are a failed human being but

[25:31]yes that also means that you have to acknowledge your mistake and

[25:34]that you have to work hard as well some people are stubborn

[25:37]I know some people they keep failing because they're stubborn or they're

[25:41]just partying all night long they're not working hard obviously you are

[25:46]responsible for that failure but there are people who really try they're

[25:50]trying to study for that exam but they failed it's okay it's

[25:55]not the end of the world if you fail and sometimes my

[26:00]dear brothers and sisters which is the third Point Allah is trying

[26:04]you through failure Allah is building you he's training you this is

[26:11]one important purpose that failure serves to build you as a human

[26:15]being You're Building yourself you're training yourself you're becoming stronger tomorrow you

[26:21]can handle any trial that comes because you've already examined what it

[26:26]feels like to fail and how to overcome it and how to

[26:31]achieve success another benefit of failure my dear brothers and sisters is

[26:35]that it humbles us some people when they are well off or

[26:40]they're very successful they're The Talk of the Town look at this

[26:46]person how successful he is with his business with his life with

[26:52]his family sometimes that success gets to us and we feel arrogant

[26:57]and too proud sometimes Allah subhana wa ta'ala will allow you to

[27:03]fail to Humble you so you can control your ego anytime you

[27:10]experience failure and you feel that your heart is humbled fall into

[27:14]sujud and thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Allah subhana wa taala is

[27:18]training you to be humble sometimes Allah subhana tal allows you to

[27:25]experience failure because Allah wants you to sever your heart from this

[27:29]world don't rely on this world you can't trust this world you

[27:33]think you'll always be like this for the rest of Eternity sometimes

[27:37]Allah will allow a Believer to slip here to fall there to

[27:40]go through a financial crisis to go through a family crisis to

[27:44]prepare the believer to leave one day because we're attached to this

[27:48]Dunya you know why death is so painful for most people why

[27:53]is death so painful because Allah deliberately he enjoys making it painful

[27:58]death is painful because you're not willing to let go of this

[28:03]duny cutting off your soul from this Dunya is so uncomfortable for

[28:10]a lot of people because they're just not ready to go sometimes

[28:14]failure allows you to get there when you fail a few times

[28:19]and you realize you know what this world is not the best

[28:21]place okay it's a great place because Allah put me here but

[28:27]it's not a place that I want to put all my hopes

[28:31]in my soul is greater than this Dunya and so sometimes through

[28:35]failure Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is cutting off your heart from this

[28:39]dun and you go closer to him I know many people had

[28:44]they not failed somewhere in their life they would not have found

[28:48]Allah subhana wa tala they would have been distracted drowned with their

[28:53]desires drowned in materialism drowned in different paths but it's the failure

[28:58]that actually await Wen them so that's one of the blessings of

[29:01]Allah subhana wa tala Another Blessing that you find in Failure brothers

[29:06]and sisters is that you come to know your true friends when

[29:11]you fail and collapse when you're successful there are many people who

[29:18]are befriending you not because they really love you or care about

[29:20]you the Friendship may not be genuine the reason why they're befriending

[29:27]you is because of your success you're popular you're famous you're rich

[29:32]you're successful of course people want to be your friend but many

[29:35]of these people are not genuine friends when do you know your

[29:38]true friend from one who's not genuine in times of crisis when

[29:45]you fail I have a dear brother who lived in Florida over

[29:48]15 years ago he was well off very successful any newcomer who

[29:54]would go to that town from his brothers and sisters and Faith

[29:58]he would would help them establish a business very well off very

[30:01]successful and he had a lot of friends very popular but then

[30:07]years later he went through the greatest crisis of his life a

[30:12]financial crisis coupled with a Health crisis and he literally lost all

[30:19]his wealth he told me say one day I called one of

[30:21]my friends when he came to that City he wanted to establish

[30:28]himself he asked me for $50,000 I lent him $50,000 so he

[30:34]can buy a house and he can establish a business I called

[30:39]him I told him look I'm stuck I'm going through the biggest

[30:43]crisis in my life can I borrow $5,000 from you he said

[30:49]say he did not give me a single dollar I asked my

[30:52]friends most of them did not help me most of my friends

[30:58]suddenly abandon me when they saw me in crisis he said say

[31:02]it was a very painful moment in my life I was having

[31:07]a breakdown I was depressed I was going through anxiety but it

[31:12]was during those days that I came to know my true friends

[31:15]who's my true friend who sticks with me even when I'm down

[31:20]I know this friend is a golden friend this friend is a

[31:23]treasure I can rely on this friend sometimes when you fail and

[31:28]there's some someone who's supportive who's there who's trying to help you

[31:32]hold on to this person my dear brothers and sisters hold on

[31:34]to this person for the rest of your life because this person

[31:38]is genuine this person is not there around you just so they

[31:41]can benefit or they can exploit you this person really cares about

[31:46]you don't be annoyed by them if they're trying to help you

[31:49]so sometimes failure is actually an opportunity for you to know who

[31:56]your friends are that's a gift from Allah T I'd rather know

[31:59]who my friends are now than later in life so that later

[32:04]in life at least I know who to rely on which friends

[32:07]I should invest more in I'd rather know that early on sometimes

[32:12]failure gets you there my dear brothers and sisters now for those

[32:19]who are experiencing failure you're really down you're depressed one of the

[32:23]recommendations I have for you my dear brothers and sisters is first

[32:29]of all don't isolate normally when we fail we disappear I don't

[32:32]want to see anyone I don't want anyone asking about the exam

[32:35]about the interview about the job about the divorce whatever it is

[32:40]don't isolate when you isolate you make things worse and your mental

[32:47]health will suffer it's okay go out there in the community feel

[32:50]proud that you still are walking on your two feet you still

[32:54]have your IM and Faith you still believe in Allah T it's

[32:57]not the end of the world world the world is much bigger

[33:02]than one exam or one interview or one job look at this

[33:04]universe Habibi there's 8 billion people on Earth don't isolate and lose

[33:09]hope it's fine it's not the end of the universe if you

[33:13]fail even if you fail 10 times successful people around you they

[33:17]probably failed more than you did but eventually they succeeded that's the

[33:21]path to success and secondly my second recommendation is those who are

[33:28]stuck in that situation I recommend that you travel and get inspired

[33:33]go for go for Zar go on a vacation Halal vacation of

[33:37]course go on a vacation it's fine just see the world see

[33:41]how people live you'll see people more miserable than you you'll see

[33:45]people living very simple Lifestyles and they're happy they're smiling they're fine

[33:53]they're okay they're fine they've not lost their faith I'll never forget

[34:44]it's not even proper zoning it's just in the desert that they're

[34:47]living and they're not even living in homes Huts these small little

[34:52]Huts it was summer when I went the temperature outside was about

[34:59]100 20° F I went into one of those small Huts no

[35:03]AC and because they're built from this cheap material it traps the

[35:10]heat even more inside that Hut believe me it was more than

[35:13]120° felt like a sauna you couldn't breathe I don't know how

[35:19]they were living there I entered one of those Huts there was

[35:23]one Widow with six orphans two of them were par paralyzed they

[35:29]were lying on the ground paralyzed I'll never forget that scene I

[35:33]was shocked when I saw that and she was taking care of

[35:42]these children I noticed a very small stove that was donated to

[35:46]her and it was hooked to those propane gas tanks like the

[35:49]one that you have you attach to your barbecue grill she was

[35:53]cooking something for dinner I was interested to know what are they

[35:57]going going to eat there's seven people it looked like a small

[36:02]pot what's your food today so we asked her do you mind

[36:04]if I see what you're eating today I don't want to embarrass

[36:08]you but I really want to know she like sure go see

[36:13]we opened the pot we saw three potatoes three for how many

[36:17]people seven a mother and six orphans but you know what really

[36:24]shocked me more than all of this what really shocked me is

[36:30]seeing that miserable condition this lady did not complain even once she

[36:34]did not say it look how miserable we are say it see

[36:39]how Allah has abandoned us she was full of faith and Iman

[36:42]she said nothing negative she was thankful W on the day of

[36:48]judgment will see people like that like shining stars you know how

[36:52]Heaven has 6,000 levels they're in the six millionth level on the

[36:57]day of judgment that's Iman that's IMA that's Faith it's helpful for

[37:02]us to go and see that go on a trip go on

[37:06]a vacation see how people live it will expand your horizons and

[37:09]it's good for your mental health so if you know someone's struggling

[37:12]they just cannot get outside that negative mental health state of you

[37:16]know feeling that they have failed go and travel with them go

[37:21]for Zara go for go on a vacation it really is impactful

[37:27]my dear brothers and sisters failure is not the end of our

[37:33]Lives we learn from failure and it's a tool that Allah has

[37:35]given us no matter how much you've tried I know some people

[37:40]they believe that certain individuals they have bad luck no matter what

[37:44]they do they're going to fail and then there are people who

[37:47]are very lucky as they say in Arabic if the person puts

[37:52]his hand on on Dust it becomes gold you know why we

[37:58]think this is the case because our perspective is very materialistic maybe

[38:02]that person who's constantly failing and you think they have bad luck

[38:06]maybe Allah loves that person more and he's trying them more and

[38:09]on the day of judgment they have a greater status how do

[38:12]you know you don't know what people go through you don't know

[38:15]what people's intentions are you don't know what people's faith is and

[38:20]whenever we discuss failure and success it's important to know that it's

[38:25]success in the eyes of Allah that matter matters not success according

[38:32]to Social standards you think Society knows who's who's what success is

[38:37]who successful people are you want Tik Tock to really teach me

[38:41]what success is believe me that's the last place you want to

[38:47]take your standards from that's the last place you want to learn

[38:51]the definition of success from that these factors are not factors Allah

[38:56]looks at Prophet n Alam one of the greatest messengers of Allah

[38:59]subhah wa tala if you look at worldly standards he was a

[39:02]failure he didn't succeed 950 years he's preaching he's trying to guide

[39:10]his people after 950 years 80 people believe isn't that failure but

[39:14]no Allah considers him one of the most successful human beings in

[39:17]the history of humankind because Allah has different standards it's not about

[39:21]quantity it's not about materialism it's about quality when Allah sees the

[39:26]quality Allah sees that as success whom we've commemorated who's the greatest

[39:33]human being Allah has created after IMI if you look at his

[39:40]life and those four years of the caliphate you say it's nothing

[39:43]but a failure Civil Wars problems headaches his own people not obeying

[39:48]him but is the most successful person after and the second he

[39:56]was struck he said I've become successful it's about quality brothers and

[40:01]sisters not about quantity who cares about quantity Allah doesn't care about

[40:08]quantity one day Prophet mam according to a Hadith he asked J

[40:14]I want to see the best worshipper in the world the best

[40:23]worshipper the best servant of Allah imagine if you wanted to visualize

[40:31]who would this person be what image comes to your mind told

[40:34]mam come I'll show you he took him to the banks of

[40:38]a river an isolated Place J told him mus go there you

[40:45]will see you'll see the best worshiper they're the closest person to

[40:50]Allah M was shocked you don't expect to find a person so

[40:55]close to Allah there isolated Musa walks walks walks he sees a

[41:03]man lying on the ground next to the banks of a river

[41:06]the man was blind and he was half crippled jbra told him

[41:13]Musa this is the best worshipper in the eyes of Allah this

[41:17]worshiper what is he doing he's doing nothing he's just sleeping on

[41:22]the floor J told him go and listen to what he's saying

[41:25]mam approached this man he heard him make the following supplication he

[41:32]said yaah Allah you're the one who gave me my body my

[41:38]eyes my body and you've decided to take it back I am

[41:41]thankful to you Ya Allah can you imagine that level of Tas

[41:45]that level of patience that level of satisfaction with Allah as well

[41:52]J told him M this is the best creation this is the

[41:54]best worshipper in our society this person is worthless who who cares

[41:58]about him would you want to go befriend somebody like that but

[42:01]in the eyes of Allah and in the eyes of the Angels

[42:05]this is the best worshipper that's the system of Allah subhanahu wa

[42:09]ta'ala what's important is the attention that we get from Allah and

[42:14]the angels not Society the attention that Society gives us is destructive

[42:19]it's not helpful and on the day of judgment we realize how

[42:24]we were deceived and fooled by these superficial factors one of the

[42:30]most beautiful verses in the Quran and I recommend all of you

[42:35]tonight reflect on this as you're doing your reflect on this verse

[42:42]verse 7 Allah subhana waala speaks about the best most high ranking

[42:51]Angels those angels the carriers of Allah's throne and those who surround

[42:57]God's Throne God's Throne of course it's not a physical Throne because

[43:02]God is not a physical body it represents the center of the

[43:05]universe the holiest place in the universe there are angels who carry

[43:11]the power of God the knowledge of God and they surround the

[43:15]Throne of Allah subhana wa tala what did they do those angels

[43:22]they worship God they glorify God they believe in God this is

[43:29]their first task their first task is to worship Allah what's their

[43:35]second task what's their second task they do for the Believers the

[43:42]greatest angels of Allah from God's Throne they're looking at you on

[43:49]planet Earth at night the Hadith says when you pray Sal in

[43:51]the privacy of your room or you recite Quran from the privacy

[43:56]of your room a light emanates from your house like a star

[43:59]and it shines to the angels the Angels see a light coming

[44:02]from Earth they doar for you and your family they keep praying

[44:06]for you until the day of judgment that's success if you can

[44:12]get the attention of these angels that's success and you know how

[44:15]many angels there are that you can get their attention and collectively

[44:18]they can pray for you do you know how many I'll tell

[44:20]you how many says the IM says there is not a square

[44:29]foot in the universe a square foot in the universe except that

[44:35]there's an angel in it glorifying Allah can you can you just

[44:42]imagine the sheer size of this the universe is 90 billion light

[44:44]years across the physical visible Universe how many trillions of square foot

[44:50]feet are there I don't know but we do know that in

[44:54]every square foot there's an angel glorifying Allah you can get their

[45:00]attention ention and on brothers and sisters get that success from Allah

[45:03]say Allah make me successful according to your standards I don't care

[45:08]about social standards I don't care about what Tik Tok and Instagram

[45:12]tell me I want to be successful in your eyes Ya Allah

[45:18]that's the best Dua that you can make and the best example

[45:20]that we have is Amir it's the quality of his legacy that

[45:27]inspires us was was n just a hero in the battlefield the

[45:30]Imam through his fine touches of humanity saved the religion of Islam

[45:36]one report tells us that Imam Hassan and Hussein after they finished

[45:45]burying their father they were in kufa they buried him in Naf

[45:50]in an undisclosed location you know for 100 years the grave of

[45:55]Imam Ali Alam was hidden because his enemies wanted to exume his

[45:59]grave and burn him so that's why the imams of B had

[46:04]his grave hidden for 100 years so when they came back from

[46:09]Naf to kufa they they heard the sound of a person crying

[46:15]Hassan and Hussein they're not like me okay I don't care Somebody's

[46:18]Crying in the street who cares no they care they went to

[46:22]see why this person is crying they saw an old man who

[46:26]was blind lied and half paralyzed he was crying crying they greeted

[46:32]him they told him oh man what's the matter with you why

[46:35]are you crying he said I'm crying because there was a man

[46:43]who would come every day he would come to feed me he

[46:45]changed my clothes and he'd take care of me I have no

[46:49]one to take care of me but it's been three days that

[46:54]he has not come he's disappeared that's why I'm crying I don't

[46:58]know where he is Imam Hassan asked him do you know him

[47:03]who was he what was his name he says I don't know

[47:07]him he never even told me his name IM Hassan told him

[47:09]that was our father ALB three days you know why he has

[47:14]not come because he was struck three days ago and we just

[47:17]buried him now that's Al and that's the quality of his legacy

[47:38]raise your hands in Dua my dear brothers and sisters these are

[47:42]the holiest nights of the month of Ramadan Allah everyone together raise
