[0:00]so here we have it from the youth in zifeen abbas and
[0:05]hussain hussein and abbas two lions who walked the same path until
[0:09]that path led them to the land of karubala and the arrows
[0:15]came and the blood was spilled and the bodies fell and the
[0:19]children cried and then abbasi's time came abbas enters the field of
[0:27]battle and the enemies scattered scatter like a field of cattle for
[0:30]there's a lion in their midst with a flag in one hand
[0:34]and a mush tied around his wrist the enemy are shaking but
[0:39]they try and pretend to be brave but really they're just pious
[0:43]men and this is no longer a battlefield but a lion's den
[0:49]and abel fuddle's praise stand frozen and upon abbas their eyes focus
[0:54]and he walks between them as if they are the red sea
[0:57]and he is moses he looks down at the water and wonders
[1:01]should i take some or not some say he remembered the thirst
[1:07]of hussein but in truth he never forgot he marches towards he
[1:13]marches forward into the water he clings but then from behind the
[1:18]tree zaid bin walker in swings hax abbas his right hand but
[1:23]here's the thing you can't stop abu fazal who proudly sings i
[1:26]swear if you cut my right hand i will forever protect this
[1:29]religion and protect an imam who is truthful and certain the holy
[1:36]prophet's great grandson and then from behind another trunk huckabee to springs
[1:40]hacking the left arm of our skilled king will soon be granted
[1:45]frilled wings and even though they tried to kill him look how
[1:51]his dismembered arm to the flag still clings and listen how he
[1:54]still sings onoffs do not be scared of the kuffar rather get
[1:59]ready for the mercy of the jabba where you will be close
[2:02]to the chosen ones of allah as he heads back to the
[2:09]tent hundred arrows they fling one glides through the sky and into
[2:13]the eye of abbas it sinks zachara watches as the lion grips
[2:18]the mush between his teeth no arms try to take the arrow
[2:21]out with his knees and he keeps going for he he hears
[2:25]rokaya weep but another arrow is shot and in the mosque it
[2:29]sleeps and look how able father protected her's name onto the burning
[2:35]ground the water begins to seep and finally abbas falls down in
[2:38]a heap calling out for his master and hussein mounts his horse
[2:44]and rides faster into the battlefield where he's met with disaster father
[2:51]with a voice that cracked spoke mawlana please don't take me back
[2:59]home because just now rukaya still has hope so hussein tries to
[3:02]place abbas head on his lap no yamala who hold your head
[3:05]when you lay in that ditch so shallow so he wipes about
[3:09]his blood on his black robe goes to the tent and knocks
[3:14]out the tag pole winds up his flagpole for today is the
[3:17]day that hussein's back broke so that's the story of hussein and
[3:24]abbas they grew up side by side and one by one they
[3:27]fell blood drenched their manes and the spears beneath as well and
[3:31]in a city far away in a home now a shell a
[3:36]lioness falls to the floor and loudly begins to yell so so
[4:21]so can i please request everyone first just to stand up and
[4:25]just come forward because i've been requested by the volunteers at the
[4:29]back with a loud salwat please thank you so much okay so
[4:41]my dear children elders brothers and sisters and welcome to the eighth
[4:52]night of muharram 2022 here at masjid al-hussein leicester also a warm
[4:57]welcome to our online viewers as always i hope you're all benefiting
[5:00]from the stream and uh of course we're looking forward to hosting
[5:03]you in the next few nights here in person and again we
[5:08]say this every night but may allah during this month inshallah so
[5:18]before we start today's announcements i just want to put the tonight's
[5:22]monthly sponsors on the board please so zayn so tonight's uh program
[5:28]is sponsored for the following who means can we please recite a
[5:31]surah fatiha for them okay so i just have a few announcements
[5:51]today so let's just write through them announcement number one is the
[5:57]matamdari program which is planned for today we have a host of
[6:03]local and national reciters the program will start at 9 30 pm
[6:06]right after nomas and it will also be streamed live on our
[6:10]youtube channel so we kindly encourage all of you to attend this
[6:15]program and for those who can't make it obviously tune in online
[6:18]i'm sure it will be one not to be missed announcement number
[6:24]two is the general housekeeping so as you can see today it's
[6:27]very busy um so again let's just be cognizant about our neighbors
[6:31]uh noise pollution especially tonight with the matamdari program when we're leaving
[6:36]the premises let's just leave quietly so that our neighbors do not
[6:40]complain to us also around car parking i've just come out of
[6:44]the car park it's really full today and for those who are
[6:47]coming in now and if you're listening to the stream please avoid
[6:49]duxbury road and bridge road again we want to make sure that
[6:55]we've got cordial relationships with our neighbors if you have any uh
[6:59]concerns around the parking or have any questions please speak to our
[7:02]lovely volunteers who are assisting outside and the final announcement i guess
[7:09]this is just an introduction and it's a good thing mksi leicester
[7:14]transformation project so i did say that today brother sameer our president
[7:19]will be addressing us so can i please welcome brother samir to
[7:24]the mem to the member to the podium with a loud salvation
[7:45][Music] my eldest brothers and sisters assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi can i ask
[8:14]the av team just to play the video once again jazakallah muhammad
[8:42]it's about doing something together that makes belonging matter i know masjid's
[8:47]presidents have a number of challenges they need to deal with but
[8:51]i never thought i'd be dealing with this so soon alhamdulillah it's
[8:53]a good thing right now we're in one of the most exciting
[8:56]times as we extend the masjid that you all know and love
[9:00]i'm pretty sure that most people in england have been to our
[9:03]humble and welcoming jamaat so i won't go into all the particulars
[9:05]of why this project is much needed all the details can be
[9:10]found on our website so please please do make sure you have
[9:13]a look this project will in charlotte deliver an overflow facility during
[9:18]busy periods remove noise pollution in the main hall an area for
[9:23]members to socialize outside the main hall an open space desk area
[9:26]for the management committee toilet area further away from the main hall
[9:33]and prayer room a newer and bigger av room a bigger ladies
[9:35]hall a safe place for the children between ladies entrance and all
[9:39]alzahra center and there's more on the second floor of the alzahra
[9:45]center we will have the abu favel gym which will host its
[9:47]own showers and lockers for ladies and gents we're also building an
[9:50]amazing chill out zone for all our youth which will be kitted
[9:56]out with everything we need i mean for me this project is
[9:58]all about making the mosque a one-stop shop i mean when the
[10:02]prophet had his mosque in medina it wasn't just about learning it
[10:04]was meant to be a one-stop shop for everyone to come and
[10:08]do as they please and have everything in that place so they
[10:11]don't need to go elsewhere to find other enjoyment they can find
[10:15]it all at the place of not just worship but fun as
[10:17]well we've received some amazing support from world federation and co-age and
[10:22]now we need your help so far we have raised 330 000
[10:29]pounds and we need only 520 000 pounds more we could sit
[10:32]here all day and tell you the benefits of you donating i
[10:36]could say that those who spend in the way of allah is
[10:38]just like a grain that produces seven years each air having a
[10:43]hundred grains and allah multiplies the reward for whom he wills but
[10:47]i won't we all know that hadees instead i want to show
[10:52]you what this project means for our community for your community can't
[10:55]wait to have a safe and clean place to hang out with
[10:58]my friends and beat them at fifa i think this is gonna
[11:00]be so much fun because i can play with my friends in
[11:04]the game room it'll give the girls and ladies of our community
[11:09]a space where they can feel comfortable and safe allowing them to
[11:13]be fitter and healthier now there's two ways to support our project
[11:17]number one is that you contribute towards it and number two buy
[11:20]a raffle ticket you know the raffle prizes are absolutely amazing top
[11:27]prize 20 tickets to imam hussain second prize a five thousand pound
[11:32]kitchen voucher we've got so many other prizes for further information do
[11:35]contact myself or simply go to our website just think about it
[11:41]this way what would if he knew that you donated in his
[11:50]name [Music] for muhammad who don't know my name is samir rajani
[11:58]and i am the president of mksi leicester masjid al hussein first
[12:03]and foremost i would like to welcome all of our attendees visitors
[12:08]at this center as well as those watching online have been following
[12:12]us for the last eight nights seven nights plus tonight secondly i
[12:20]would like to send my commemorations to our imam of our time
[12:25]allah foreign rasulallah as well as all the lovers of hazard islam
[12:46]muhammad i go to the project update i just wanted to say
[12:56]thank you very much for everybody jazakallah for the support you've given
[13:00]us over the last seven nights as well as inshallah throughout the
[13:03]program and alhamdulillah we're getting very close to the budget we expect
[13:07]the trajectory is that we will be we we are in a
[13:12]position to have completed our budget so jazakallah for that and salwaad
[13:17]muhammad so we started a journey last year mid last year where
[13:25]we decided to embark on a new project and the transformation of
[13:29]masjid al hussein in november we went to the the management uh
[13:36]committee as well as the trustees went to the members of our
[13:39]community alhamdulillah in november we passed uh approved the project in december
[13:45]we started the planning permission and after the eight months on the
[13:48]night of us the basal islam i wanted to announce announce that
[13:54]the planning permission has been approved alhamdulillah as you know the project
[14:03]is about a few things one of them is the imambarga extension
[14:06]the other the other part is the ladies connection to alzheimer's center
[14:10]providing a safe safe pace space for our children when they use
[14:15]the alzheimer's center the other two aspects are the the extension of
[14:20]alzara center which will have a fitness center as well as a
[14:24]chiller room for the children this is all in honor of hazard
[14:31]basal islam and tonight it is his nice that night that we
[14:35]commemorate alhamdulillah our timing has been we started in sha albania our
[14:39]website and now on the night of us of the bus we've
[14:41]hit a massive milestone from now onwards now we need to think
[14:45]about the next steps which is to build a selection and inshallah
[14:51]in after muharram suffer period to start to build and continue with
[14:55]our journey inshallah on the night like this i would like to
[14:57]appeal to everybody live those who are watching we have so far
[15:03]probably 500 000 viewers online as well as in the masjid and
[15:08]if we just give a pound each that would be 500 000
[15:11]pounds and that would meet our target what i'm going to do
[15:14]now is give a live appeal usually we don't allow allow mobile
[15:17]phones to be used during this uh doing the monoliths but i
[15:23]request those who are in the center as well as those who
[15:25]are online and who will be watching this program going forward i
[15:29]ask you all to take your mobile phones the details in there
[15:32]i'm going to do this myself as well mohammed mohammed in the
[15:36]honor of hazard islam allah the amount doesn't matter brothers and sisters
[15:45]this is a live appeal this is one thing that's uni we've
[15:50]never done this before and i'm hoping that we'll be able to
[15:52]collect a decent amount in honor of hazard like i said at
[15:56]the end of the project what would hazard say if you knew
[16:00]that you donated in his name so whilst i do that and
[16:03]other brothers i can see a few taking their mobile phones out
[16:06]and i'm hoping online as well i'm going to make a payment
[16:11]route right now it's on the screen if not the account number
[16:29]is four zero two two eight the sort code is sorry four
[16:36]zero twenty eight zero three the account number is one one zero
[16:40]eight eight seven nine three reference number afg account name is mksia
[16:49]community i'm going to mention it one more time brothers and sisters
[16:58]as well assault code 402803 account number 1108 793 1108 793 reference
[17:12]afg abu fazel jim and the name is mksi community like i
[17:23]said bigger the number the better but ultimately you know contributing towards
[17:28]this great cause so i've just made that payment i've made previous
[17:33]payments i'll make i've made a payment today and i'll continue to
[17:39]make the payment because i believe in the in the project i
[17:41]believe that the the strategy and the objectives that we have as
[17:44]a community as a team and inshallah the growth of leicester jamaat
[17:49]in the future as well so i've made a payment of a
[17:51]thousand pounds and i'll continue to make the payment until this project
[17:56]is completed thank you everybody jazakallah for listening to the update inshallah
[18:07]we'll continue to meet our objectives and let's just make a quick
[18:11]prayer all of us put your hands together that this project is
[18:14]completed and it's successful finally i would like to welcome actually before
[18:19]i do that can i ask brothers please bring yourself forward to
[18:25]the bottom right of of my side here please brothers finally i
[18:35]would like to welcome our esteemed guest brother said dr sedaman nakswani
[18:42]one more time please there's more people that are coming the muddlist
[18:46]is about to start can i just request that one more time
[18:49]jazakallah muhammad ali muhammad uh before i begin i think the onus
[19:30]is on me to set the example rather than just for the
[19:33]president to set the example i've lectured in this community for now
[19:40]20 years on and off and sometimes people would ask me when
[19:47]muharram comes where are you this muharram and they normally expect to
[19:53]hear the name of a really big city in the world and
[19:55]then i say leicester and while leicester without a doubt is a
[20:00]big city but the people of leicester are people with big hearts
[20:06]and this is something that made me always promise that every few
[20:13]years when i first came here 20 years ago may allah bless
[20:17]muslim rajani sitting there who used to always push for the youth
[20:23]and for english lectures and who would have thought 20 years ago
[20:28]quite ironically when we came 20 years ago myself and this other
[20:33]speaker you may have heard of called mahdi hassan were lecturing and
[20:38]he went towards some success masha allah and i went towards some
[20:44]success with the blessings of allah but this project is a project
[20:49]which has a base for a number of reasons the first reason
[20:54]is that it provides a safe space and an extension for the
[21:01]ladies and gents of this community so instead of people always asking
[21:05]you to come forward you'll end up having an extension which is
[21:09]going to be there for everybody to be able to benefit from
[21:14]the second reason and my favorite reason is because there's going to
[21:21]be a gym which caters for the ladies and the gym which
[21:24]caters for the gents and the fitness center will be called the
[21:30]abulfa gym it will be named after sometimes you hear gyms named
[21:37]after different companies or different concepts but imagine in the heart of
[21:43]the uk you have a gym named after and so this second
[21:47]reason let's alone the third reason a recreation space for our youth
[21:50]to chill to relax make the mosque a place where you can
[21:54]come and relax and see each other and socialize rather than have
[22:00]to go outside those of you who've benefited from the majalis over
[22:03]the years in this particular mumbai you've all recognized it from youtube
[22:08]there have been some lectures which are memorable on this particular mumbai
[22:13]and some not so memorable but you find that this particular mumbai
[22:18]is one that has served and that's why i ask all of
[22:21]you and i want to set the example in all honesty something
[22:24]which i would never normally do before a lecture because my mind
[22:29]is completely engrossed in my notes but let's all those of you
[22:34]who haven't if you do have the ability online just go to
[22:36]your phone one final time and let's make a donation because it
[22:41]transforms our muharram a few nights ago i asked people to do
[22:45]a donation for yemen we're on fifty thousand pounds and now the
[22:50]people of yemen insha allah that little bit that we're sending will
[22:53]inshallah help them likewise this place which is catering for your knowledge
[22:59]and your sons and daughters knowledge try and give back if you
[23:02]can now on your phone i'll give just 30 seconds one minute
[23:04]here's the details wherever you may be online for the viewers who
[23:09]have watched the lectures for the last eight nine not months not
[23:14]days years try online right now if you can to give a
[23:20]donation towards the mosque once accepts it from the viewers and accepts
[23:49]it from all of you here i don't know how much further
[24:02]you can go forward but uh if you can just come as
[24:04]close to the front as you can try and make space especially
[24:06]to your left hand side try and go to your left as
[24:11]much as you can my dear brothers and sisters so that there
[24:15]is space for those coming in [Music] alhamdulillah [Music] is a third
[26:26]with your loudest voice is in honor of the imam of our
[26:31]time imam sahib allah respected scholars brothers and sisters it's a slogan
[26:53]that has been heard recently and a slogan that has been said
[26:56]in certain parts of the muslim world for over a thousand years
[27:00]did you find the issue of takfir and kofor is an issue
[27:08]of the utmost importance and sensitivity within the religion of islam because
[27:12]we know that within the religion of islam today there are a
[27:17]couple of billion muslims who are alive those couple of billion muslims
[27:22]who are alive in the world today all come from different groups
[27:27]and backgrounds but at one stage or another each and every one
[27:30]of them has been at the receiving end of being called a
[27:34]kafir bu for example within the different sects of the sunni world
[27:39]or within the different sects of the shia world at one stage
[27:43]or another in the last 1400 years the accusation of disbelief or
[27:49]the accusation of heresy has been labeled against every single muslim if
[27:53]you look for example within shia school the ithna and the ismailia
[27:59]have both been at the receiving end of being called kafirs at
[28:03]the same time you'll find that there are certain muslims one either
[28:08]necessarily counted as sunni or shia who may have been at the
[28:13]receiving end of being called kafur for example in pakistan you have
[28:17]a sizable community known as the ahmadiyya or the cadianis some of
[28:21]you may have come across them the ahmadiyya or the kardianis are
[28:25]continuously facing situations where their life is under threat irrespective of conclusions
[28:33]on their theological beliefs naturally i ask a question that am i
[28:38]when i live in the uk and there's an ahmedi community or
[28:43]i live in the pakistan or in east africa and i see
[28:49]an isma'ili community can i still label charges of kuffar or charges
[28:53]of heresy against another muslim as in another muslim who says in
[28:56]front of me that they believe in one god and that they
[29:02]believe in the prophethood of the holy prophet muhammad can i turn
[29:11]around and label such a person a kafir or a kafira because
[29:15]in the past the slogans used to be slogans where a person
[29:20]who was seen as a disbeliever may have been called a mulhed
[29:23]or a zindiq today you even have more slogans than this there
[29:29]are other slogans today which are employed tomorrow night i will look
[29:33]at shia calling each other kafir that's a different story where we'll
[29:38]examine the groups of the shia and the world today and who
[29:42]they believe is kafur from amongst each other from both mawlana's and
[29:46]those who are on the ground that will leave till tomorrow night
[29:49]in sha allah but for tonight when you look at this area
[29:53]of kofor the problem with kofor is that when i accuse your
[29:59]being kafir a whole set of laws then impose themselves on you
[30:02]these sets of laws that impose themselves on you are laws which
[30:08]could result in you losing your life because if you are a
[30:12]cover in a world view where you have dar al islam and
[30:14]you have dar al harab a world for example which is a
[30:19]world of islam and a world of war or you have darus
[30:25]salaam and dar al kofir a world which is an islamic world
[30:30]state versus an area of kofor if you as a person who's
[30:34]a kafir are living in a muslim country you could end up
[30:37]being someone who if you don't convert to islam or if you
[30:42]don't pay the jizya the tax of the islamic economic system could
[30:48]be executed or could be killed and that's why when you look
[30:52]today for example in afghanistan 25 hazaras if i'm not mistaken today
[30:55]got executed or got killed in an assassination attempt that is clearly
[31:00]showing us that shia kaffir still an issue when in muharram a
[31:07]month when supposedly all who love the holy prophet peace be upon
[31:13]his family should be gathering together to remember his grandson you'll find
[31:16]two groups one group who'll gather together to have weddings in muharram
[31:19]i remember when i gave a medalist in peterborough a couple of
[31:24]years ago i was on my way to recite the maktel on
[31:27]the 10th of muharram and i saw a muslim family who were
[31:29]having a wedding on the 10th of muharram but then there's another
[31:33]group who kill others who they view no longer as muslims they
[31:36]view them as kafirs and so when i look at that i
[31:41]begin to ask myself the question that's in the uk in afghanistan
[31:47]in pakistan in other parts of the world muslims labeling each other
[31:51]as kuffar instead of looking at each other and saying that these
[31:56]people have similar beliefs to one another rather you find that it
[32:01]becomes open even our literature the reality is that many of us
[32:04]still abide by literature that has come from medieval scholarship there are
[32:10]still medieval muslim scholars who are quoted in lectures today if i
[32:13]quote for example or i quote for example shahid al-awl i'm quoting
[32:20]who i'm quoting a muslim medieval scholar his opinions still count i'm
[32:25]still going to use him as a source what happens if he
[32:30]has a fatwa which describes somebody as a kafir do i take
[32:33]that fatwa if i see a muslim saying after that they don't
[32:40]believe what i believe for example are they allowed to have the
[32:46]freedom to have their htard not just on theology but also it's
[32:50]the heart on history there's two types of ichthy had there's an
[32:55]ichthy had on history because history if you break the word into
[33:02]two it is his story his story what does it mean it
[33:07]means it's my story of how i'm gonna narrate depending on who
[33:10]i like and who i admire so when you see the word
[33:15]history whether you're doing gcses or a levels or a degree in
[33:17]history always remember his story so now when i look at his
[33:24]story am i allowed to have h jihad on a particular incident
[33:27]am i allowed to have h jihad on what took place in
[33:31]the seer of rasulallah am i allowed to have my own reading
[33:37]or do i have to subscribe to one reading of course if
[33:39]a non-muslim hears this the non-muslim gets baffled when he hears someone
[33:43]saying there's only one true reading of islamic history if you talk
[33:46]to a non-muslim and we saw this recently in the news when
[33:50]you had certain people saying that the depiction of what took place
[33:55]in early islam is false false according to who according to who
[33:58]unless you have a golden tablet that has come down from jenna
[34:03]and you've opened it and it says this is history how can
[34:08]you as a human being come and tell me as a human
[34:12]being that my version of history is wrong you have a narrator
[34:17]and i have a narrator am i allowed to have htr as
[34:21]a muslim in history or to me and you have to agree
[34:23]on everything being the same i have a particular reading of history
[34:27]you have a particular reading of history why are you calling me
[34:32]a kafir when it is something that a took place for example
[34:35]a thousand years ago someone says it's better that we don't even
[34:37]discuss that history some in our communities and you would see this
[34:42]even in your own family you'll hear some people saying why do
[34:46]we always discuss the past why don't we just talk about what's
[34:48]happening now do you hear this sometimes in your own family that
[34:53]if you discuss history you cause trouble whereas if we discuss what's
[34:58]happening in the world today then it's better because it helps us
[35:01]as muslims move forward firstly that's a disrespect to god because he
[35:06]loves talking about history in his quran when god talks to the
[35:10]prophet he tells them about a man called adam who's a thousand
[35:12]years way before him and god tells them about noah as well
[35:17]so i cannot distance myself from history but how do i talk
[35:22]about history in a way in which i can have my own
[35:24]reading but appreciate the reading of others therefore this topic of kuffar
[35:31]is one of the utmost importance when recently you see video shia
[35:35]kafir shia kafir of course this is not the majority of non-shia
[35:39]saying this this is a group of non-shia who but there must
[35:46]be a reason they say that there must be a base of
[35:51]it let's tonight examine the accusations of kofor not just towards the
[35:56]shia but generally speaking and i'd like to do this in the
[35:58]following stages number one when did this religion this pure religion of
[36:05]allah get divided into groups who began to call each other kafir
[36:09]number two why would they call each other careful number three is
[36:14]kufor got a particular line or a particular boundary if a person
[36:21]believes in god and believes that the prophet was sent by god
[36:24]is this enough for a person to be muslim number four why
[36:30]were the shia the most in terms of the receiving end of
[36:34]being called kafir and how did this particular kufor evolve over history
[36:40]number five how are fatwas of different scholars both responsible for accusations
[36:50]of kuffar number six should we as shia stop talking about early
[36:55]islamic history number seven should we not make films about our islamic
[36:59]history or should we delve into the world of films and be
[37:05]open in our discussions number eight what if someone tells me that
[37:08]you are the people of taqiyya and you are the people who
[37:14]allow sectarianism to be spoken from in your mosques and number nine
[37:19]in reality someone who calls me akafel let them look at the
[37:25]similarities between us and them and they'll realize that there aren't many
[37:29]differences in terms of the pillars of faith let's examine this and
[37:33]dissect the topic in complete depth islam when it comes is not
[37:37]a religion of sects and nor does allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala want it
[37:41]to be a religion of sects ultimately god does not want that
[37:45]the religion of islam becomes a group of sects god wants the
[37:51]religion to be one religion which everybody follows but whether we like
[37:53]it or we don't human beings may either hold on to the
[37:57]truth of the prophets that came to them or they may splinter
[38:03]into groups as an islam isn't the first religion that's splintered into
[38:08]groups sometimes you have muslims saying why is there sunni and shiite
[38:12]relax before the holy prophet there was sunnah and shia but those
[38:16]who were sunni and shia before the prophet one was the shia
[38:22]of for example james or peter and another were following the sunnah
[38:27]of jesus through paul it can happen after jesus left this world
[38:33]some people went to paul you know saint paul's cathedral is named
[38:37]after paul who without a doubt is the most influential person in
[38:40]christianity if you ask anyone who's the most influential person in christianity
[38:44]they'll always say to you it's jesus it's not jesus no chance
[38:48]paul 13 of the 27 books of the bible are written or
[38:53]are attributed to him if you ask any christian this bible if
[38:58]jesus is so important why is it always paul's letters which make
[39:01]up half the bible a jewish man who converts to christianity having
[39:07]persecuted the earlier christians becomes the most influential person in that religion
[39:12]it happens sometimes a convert who has been the one who's persecuted
[39:15]the members of that religion ends up later being the most influential
[39:20]man in that religion i'm sure you can add the jigsaw pieces
[39:24]together so you find that even before the prophet peace be upon
[39:28]him and his family died there were already prophets whose groups had
[39:32]gone into sects the jews 71 the christians 72 the muslims 73
[39:38]but this issue of kufr began within the early part of the
[39:45]second century of the religion of islam in the first hundred years
[39:48]of this religion we can clearly tell that muslims were not all
[39:54]in agreement on everything otherwise there wouldn't be battles called gemma and
[39:59]sophia isn't that true gemell and safin which only had about 25
[40:02]000 people die so it's not too bad um an occasion these
[40:07]battles jamel and safin between muslims yes each of them were saying
[40:12]all of them were saying that they loved the prophet in some
[40:18]cases not just love his cousins were there his wife was there
[40:21]other companions were there but you could tell that there now definitely
[40:24]was going to be a difference of opinion that existed of course
[40:30]some people justify that difference by saying fitna it's a fitnah that
[40:34]happened it's a dissension the irony is the fitness always against one
[40:39]man it's that if it's a fitnah against others i wouldn't mind
[40:43]but the fitness always against one man you fight him at jamel
[40:48]you fight him at saphen those fits and exist at that time
[40:50]my dear brothers and sisters at the time of the battle of
[40:55]gemma how many muslim sects were there at the time of jamal
[40:58]which had a clear identity emerging in their theology in reality up
[41:04]to the time of the battle of gemma there's one sect in
[41:09]reality by name and that is shiat ali shiat ali the people
[41:16]who followed imam ali alayhi on the basis that the holy prophet
[41:23]peace be upon him family had announced him as his successor on
[41:26]the event of radhir and that they were not the ones who
[41:31]were going to be pledging allegiance to the others who took the
[41:37]authority were there other schools in islam at the time of jamal
[41:40]as in when imam ali comes to the battle of jamal is
[41:43]it imam ali shia versus nothing there's no one who's coming forward
[41:53]and saying we are sunni and they are shia in reality sunnis
[41:59]its major wars in terms of sectarian problems occur hundreds of years
[42:05]later even the abbasids when you look at the problems between them
[42:09]the abbasid's problem was banu abbas versus banu hashem not sunni the
[42:14]abbasids came back to abbas imam assad muhammad khalid back to abu
[42:19]talib and there's a problem between the two but what you found
[42:23]therefore is that after the battle of safin we now have another
[42:28]group that emerges in the battle of naharawan who are called our
[42:35]main group of kofor when it comes to doing kofor or accusations
[42:43]of kufur against others so early islam imam ali imam ali those
[42:49]who fight him at jamel he doesn't necessarily turn around and say
[42:52]now you are kafir or kaffir you are you still believe in
[42:59]you still believe in the prophet of allah but unfortunately your direction
[43:05]is one which is misguided because even our non-shia brothers say that
[43:09]was someone who somehow wanted to seek a repentance because she knew
[43:13]that she had completely done the wrong thing with jamal so at
[43:19]the time of jamal there's one school shiat ali there is no
[43:24]shia sunni the shiat ali they have an early identity that they
[43:28]follow the deen the religion of imam ali and this can be
[43:33]seen in their poetry what are they are those who fought imam
[43:41]ali at naharawan khawaraj respects abu bakr and they respect umar they
[43:48]disrespect uthman and they disrespect ali why do they disrespect uthman remember
[43:53]i'm showing you now how kuffar accusations emerge why do they disrespect
[44:00]uthman they say uthman was not just in his dealings when he
[44:06]was khalifah and that a leader must always be just okay then
[44:09]they had a problem with imam ali alayhi salam which led them
[44:15]to believing in the kuffar of imam ali what was it they
[44:19]said imam ali accepted the arbitration between muawiyah and him he should
[44:26]never accept that and authority belongs to allah they fought imam ali
[44:31]at the battle of naharawan because now to them imam ali and
[44:36]his shia were careful so the main people who first started accusations
[44:40]of kuffar against others in the muslim ummah were the of course
[44:47]you'll see that the many people say isis are the khawarij because
[44:54]isis sees other muslims who do not subscribe to their worldview if
[44:58]you don't subscribe to their worldview your kafir not just kafir you
[45:02]are to be killed if you don't subscribe to the world view
[45:06]you are to be killed was companion of the holy prophet peace
[45:12]be upon his family he had a son called abdullah abdullah was
[45:16]traveling with his wife the wife was pregnant they came near a
[45:21]checkpoint how are you stopped them what's your name what's your allegiance
[45:30]okay wife is the same so a person was walking they said
[45:36]to him what are you he said i am someone who is
[45:39]a mushrik i don't believe in said mushrik you go but you
[45:45]your wife come here they took him beheaded the wife they killed
[45:50]her she's pregnant they took the baby out of the womb they
[45:54]literally decimated her body why hold on the mushrik went through he
[46:00]says yes quran whatever no but quran says if mushrik talks to
[46:22]you they went towards the direction where for them for them anyone
[46:28]who did not subscribe to their world view was kavir and that's
[46:31]why those khawarij eventually when people would suffocate or they couldn't practice
[46:36]their religion they migrated they said in the same way rasulullah migrated
[46:40]to ensure his religion was complete we migrate as well and they
[46:44]split into different groups and one of the groups ironically which is
[46:49]one of the most soft groups you'll ever come across really soft
[46:52]ironic that they came on the khawarij are the ibavis of oman
[46:57]any of you go to moscot oman it is not sunny and
[46:59]shia it is ibarris ibadis are originally but the most diluted of
[47:06]the version someone says okay wait so early islam there was shia
[47:10]and would call the shia kofar so where's the term sunni in
[47:18]this period yes and that period there was no term sunni baring
[47:22]the odd there's no crystallization as such you had a couple of
[47:34]groups one group were the more and another were the more tesla
[47:39]what are their opinions on kufor the more tesla said listen a
[47:45]muslim who's a sinner that is a state between two states yes
[47:48]maybe you could say that that particular person you could describe them
[47:56]as transgressing but not as disbelieving suspended judgment i'm saying all of
[48:01]this why because this whole idea that sunni is the purest version
[48:08]of islam or that sunni is the original islam was no such
[48:11]thing in the first hundred years of islam first hundred years of
[48:15]islam you would have the morjiyah you have the muatazila even those
[48:21]were debating in the time of imam and radha alayhi there were
[48:25]still debates going on as to even the nature of the quran
[48:32]was having problems with ahmad bin hambal today if you ask somebody
[48:36]who does he subscribe to say sunni ahmad bin hambal one of
[48:39]the four for the sunni they're still having an issue with each
[48:41]other which is an issue that results even in accusations of kofor
[48:47]so in the first hundred years of islam that kuffar disease that
[48:54]existed was first begun by the khawarij the khawarij calling the shia
[49:00]of ali khafir anyone who was a shiite was to be killed
[49:02]or anyone who had support for muawiyah or ali those people were
[49:09]to be beheaded question then arises did the muslim scholars seek to
[49:15]rectify this some of them did some muslim scholars like tahawi said
[49:18]that you know what anyone who worships allah faces the qibla you
[49:25]should never condemn them towards hellfire yes if i see someone who
[49:30]is from who believes in allah believes in the prophet of the
[49:34]holy prophet believes in the day of judgment you should never condemn
[49:39]this is a shias and even shia not to be condemned you
[49:42]had scholars who were non-shia who would say things like this that
[49:47]question puts up another question for example ahmadiyya are they to be
[49:51]classified as kafir or not are the ahmadis to be classified as
[49:57]kafir wait if the definition of muslim what is it definitional muslim
[50:03]is anyone who believes in one god and believes in the prophethood
[50:08]of the holy prophet as well as all the other prophets yes
[50:11]those are also deen those are the pillars of the religion of
[50:18]islam watch which pillars that muslims come to agree on tawheed nubuwa
[50:22]and qiyama don't we all agree if you ask any muslim in
[50:26]the street today what are the pillars of the religion which i
[50:29]can be counted as a muslim for toheyd i am automatically counted
[50:37]as a muslim i look at the ahmadiyya for example ahmadis believe
[50:44]in allah yes they do do they believe that the prophet was
[50:48]chosen and sent by allah yes they do then the question here
[50:53]a debate arises am i to place them as kofor or no
[50:59]as kafirs or not there are some who don't touch this issue
[51:03]because it's sensitive issue there are others who've never heard of ahmadis
[51:06]in their lives so that's a completely different ball game but then
[51:10]there are others whether you live in london or you live in
[51:15]pakistan ahmadiyya have a very sizable even india have a sizable community
[51:18]us we have to still discuss this why because if i see
[51:23]someone believing someone says they don't believe in the finality of the
[51:30]prophethood they say refer to him being the seal literally but rather
[51:37]what not metaphorically but rather literally seal what's a seal a seal
[51:42]you can have a seal with your ring or you can mean
[51:48]finality so ahmadis don't believe necessarily in the finality and the way
[51:52]we believe it yes but they believe that's rasulullah sent by allah
[51:56]they believe that he is the messenger of allah these other areas
[52:02]are open to question can i jump and say kuffur someone says
[52:04]well you don't understand zionist zionist zionists these are zionists no problem
[52:10]you have your own research about what you want to call ahmadis
[52:13]or others but ultimately the bottom line is the usual of the
[52:20]dean if someone believes in someone believes in muhammad rasool allah isn't
[52:23]that enough for them not to be called kafir imam allah how
[52:32]many of us narrate this on the wilder of imam islam the
[52:42]words are my fortress whoever enters my fortress is safe from my
[52:50]punishment that means look at the extension from isn't that enough for
[53:12]us to be all saved from being at least punished here here
[53:17]you want to talk about the hereafter leave god for the hereafter
[53:22]but here if i now see ahmadi on the street of london
[53:24]someone says to me said no you know these are kafirs kafirs
[53:27]because they don't believe in the finality that finality issue is it's
[53:33]one of the main parts of nabuwa or one of the just
[53:37]iat is it debatable is there a yes no answer for it
[53:40]nobody believe they believe what happens if someone believes in somebody after
[53:48]rasulullah does it lead to oh no when it came to us
[53:52]if someone today was to come and ask you this question and
[53:54]i will go further tomorrow on this issue if someone today asks
[54:00]you you are shia i want you to explain to me as
[54:04]a shii where is your book which explains your belief system even
[54:07]now imagine you want to marry a girl and you're together with
[54:09]this girl at work and she goes listen i'm not shia i
[54:14]want to know more about shia where's your belief where's your book
[54:18]of akkad we reply that our books of are available where what
[54:24]is our books of akkad which books would you give somebody i
[54:27]ask all of you now even if you want you can answer
[54:32]me i ask you now if there's a book on on our
[54:35]belief system so it's literally a shii zedo encyclopedia which explains simply
[54:42]for example 45 codes of sri i believe which book would you
[54:47]give what i would do is naturally i would look for a
[54:55]book where the derivatives of akhida or the word akida are the
[55:00]title so i would go to was asked by the scholars of
[55:07]nishapur to write on the shia a belief system i go to
[55:11]those shia i believe this why do i say this because those
[55:15]of you who shouted shia for shiite 45 chapters of shia and
[55:32]what we believe that's the manual that you can give for this
[55:38]issue when we the shia are therefore when we believed what did
[55:40]we believe we believed in allah yes like the rest of the
[55:46]muslim ummah we believed in the prophets of allah yes like the
[55:49]rest of the muslim ummah we believe in the quran yes like
[55:53]the rest of the muslim ummah we believe in qiyamah yes like
[55:55]the rest of the muslim ummah but we had an allegiance towards
[56:01]imam amir al-mu'maniyan alayhi an allegiance towards the imams of that allegiance
[56:06]led to not just kuffar of us but led to persecution in
[56:13]every century of this religion's history every century of this religion's history
[56:19]we the shia have either been called kuffar or we have been
[56:26]killed because of our shia i believe someone says where firstly we
[56:30]were obviously persecuted by benny umayyah and their henchmen everybody can see
[56:35]that as clear as they then the abbasids executed us because of
[56:39]our allegiance to bani hashem instead of our allegiance to ben al-abbas
[56:44]to the extent that the grandsons of fatherhood islam would be beheaded
[56:50]in the streets because of being shia and the famous incident all
[56:54]of you know about the incident of then after that this was
[56:58]during the life of the imams any of you want to read
[57:01]the book if you can read i don't think it's in english
[57:03]but in arabic it's definitely the killings of the parliaments the killings
[57:16]of who repeat after me the killing of the talibans a list
[57:28]of all the talibans who were executed and killed lists lists of
[57:32]one after the other why why are you killing me why for
[57:36]what reason because of my allegiance to who my allegiance to ali
[57:40]and my dissociation from the enemies of ali you looked after the
[57:47]rape of the 12th imam where did that persecution go i'm going
[57:49]to give you a timeline because some of our today think that
[57:53]we got where we got too easily easy sit in mosques with
[57:59]air conditioned now and we can chill and we can have azadari
[58:01]as we please they don't know the lives that were lost so
[58:06]for us to get here you go to the time of sheikh
[58:11]torsi baghdad became the center of killing fields because you were shia
[58:14]of course the other side had their reason the other side said
[58:20]you cursed muawiyah yes we do it's true we do there's absolutely
[58:25]no doubt about that i cannot deny it it's as much as
[58:28]the shia i want to say that you know what when someone
[58:33]puts them on the spot you say do you curse more away
[58:34]and you'll see some xiao will say no no no no no
[58:37]no no no no no we do why am i going to
[58:41]be around the bush my literature is all available online it's all
[58:45]available online i'm going to come to this vital point very shortly
[58:49]so some shira in the time in baghdad after the rape of
[58:53]the imam you know the shri and baghdad lived in the area
[58:55]called yes the samshiya would curse more away than others others would
[59:02]come back with an absolute bloodbath of the shia community me cursing
[59:06]muawiyah one question please i want to ask all of you everyone
[59:11]watching does it mean i stopped believing in allah if i curse
[59:16]more have i stopped believing in allah no no i still say
[59:19]proudly me cursing my away doesn't mean i stop believing in rasulullah
[59:27]no does it mean i stop salah towards the kaaba no so
[59:31]am i still a muslim technically ah because this is a vital
[59:39]point can i still be a muslim and curse muhammad if islam
[59:44]is about la ilaha let's come back let's come back again i
[59:53]believe in allah and i believe in muhammad we all agree and
[60:01]i follow hajj and salaam salman hajj and zakat and homson all
[60:07]of that i believe in the angels and i believe but i
[60:12]am somebody who dissociates from from abu sufyan and from yazid and
[60:15]others why do i become kafir how do i become careful i
[60:22]still believe in rasulallah since when did abu sufyan's son become part
[60:27]of kufar and iman when does that occur that's certainly not early
[60:35]islam because early islam a person who believes is automatically a muslim
[60:45]unless hear me properly now unless you add to the usolidin please
[60:49]hear me on this point it's vital if you add to the
[60:55]osola deen now the question is what can you add as a
[61:01]shiri i'm accused of adding imam as a shiri i'm accused of
[61:09]adding imam but non-shia added no no no there's a third one
[61:18]it's a big one what's the third of the solid dean of
[61:21]the non-shia the ultimate decency of the sahaba of rasulallah we agree
[61:32]ultimate decency i as a shiite how many imams i believe in
[61:38]twelve but i believe them assume you ripped me because i believe
[61:48]twelve were infallible you ripped me because i believe 12 were infallible
[61:57]you made a hundred thousand infallible come back again let's go back
[62:07]although of course we believe imam is part of islam because was
[62:15]during his life was during his life so for us imam is
[62:18]part i don't mind by the way if you add the ultimate
[62:23]decency of the sahaba as one of the solid i've got no
[62:29]issue the same way you could have ichthy had when it came
[62:32]to what is history and theology likewise i can have you decided
[62:37]a hundred thousand people who had talked saw sat whatever with the
[62:41]prophet what became part of australian i decided 12 people who at
[62:48]sat talked lived inherited from the holy prophet they became part of
[62:54]a solid why then am i kaphor why am i kafir for
[63:01]what reason when did ultimate decency of the sahaba become obsolete when
[63:05]when did it become a solid i thought the sahaba the quran
[63:09]i think makes it very clear amongst the sahaba are those whose
[63:12]examples are on the torah and the injeel don't we read the
[63:19]ayah muhammad rasool allah surah 48 verse 29 muhammad is the messenger
[63:47]of allah and those who are with him firm against the disbelievers
[63:52]merciful amongst themselves you see them in roku and sujud gaining the
[64:00]pleasure of allah the marks of prostration are on their forehead their
[64:02]example are in the torah their example is in the bible i
[64:05]respect that i believe that there are those who are with rasulallah
[64:09]that they are equivalent equivalent how many more companies you want me
[64:27]to name you then i believe that there are others who don't
[64:30]reach that same level and the quran mentioned that there are companions
[64:35]who claim to be with the prophet and that they may have
[64:38]ended up even towards the world of hypocrisy as one hadith says
[64:41]you do not know what they did after you o prophet of
[64:45]god on the pool of gotham so now when i look at
[64:48]this baba i don't mind your suladine be proud to admit one
[64:53]tohid two believe in angels three prophets four day of judgement five
[65:01]ultimate decency of the companions my o soledin tawheed and i believe
[65:07]in naboor and i believe in imam and i believe in the
[65:09]day of judgment okay those are my or solid but even though
[65:14]that was there we were still persecuted baghdad we were persecuted after
[65:19]baghdad where are we called kofor you look for example some of
[65:26]our scholars who are literally killed for being shia nothing else just
[65:29]for being shi'a that's it baba i believe i pray towards the
[65:35]qibla how can i be careful how can i be careful because
[65:41]you dissociate from the companions hold on wait you've reached the conclusion
[65:47]that companions make up akida i reach it but i also reached
[65:50]the conclusion that there are some who dissociated themselves by fighting the
[65:54]family of the prophet one of our great scholars got the title
[65:58]shaheed because of being persecuted and killed because ishia shahid al-awwal go
[66:05]to lebanon there's a village called jazzin he was from that village
[66:12]great islam because he was shia they beheaded him they hung his
[66:15]body and put it on the corpse and they burnt it shahid
[66:20]studied by all maharaja why was he killed because he was shia
[66:25]you go to uzbekistan central asia uzbekistan there are people uzbekistan central
[66:33]asia we're not we're talking a few hundred years ago because they
[66:36]were shia they were made into slaves or they were executed shem
[66:39]saddeen harati and others would give fetch was and this is where
[66:44]the problem is on the first level please focus on this the
[66:47]first problem is the fetch was and the fetch was by the
[66:49]way can happen both sides please bear with me the first side
[66:54]is if there's a fetch one that says and if you doubt
[67:01]that they are kuffar then you are a cover it's phenomenal eben
[67:09]eben has a book the book is available everywhere it's called the
[67:24]unsheathed sword on the one who abuses the prophet it's a phenomenal
[67:27]time you have to give the title the men's credit it's an
[67:32]absolutely phenomenal and in that book he narrates imam ali saying that
[67:42]i heard from the prophet there will come a time after us
[67:46]there's a group called whoever doubts their kofor is a kafir and
[67:51]i'm not going to say that ibn tamiya necessarily professes this always
[67:56]in public but in saddam and now look there's a fatwa there
[67:58]i'm not going to say non-shia all believe this there are many
[68:02]non-shia who believe that we are muslim but they differ with us
[68:05]on theology but when you have a book and sometimes you hear
[68:10]people saying that you guys make films which are sectarian please listen
[68:15]to this you guys make films which are sectarian i reply okay
[68:19]let's have a bargaining process you say these films are sectarian first
[68:24]i'll discuss that what is it you say a film is sectarian
[68:30]origin anything i'm going to make is going to be called sectarian
[68:32]if it differs from your ichty head on history anything anything if
[68:38]i differ with your hd head in history for example if i
[68:43]show a film just on the battle of ahud battle of ahud
[68:47]famous companions ran away am i allowed to make a film in
[68:49]britain about it actually not me nor anyone else joe blogs or
[68:59]ali blogs in the community say that he made a film on
[69:03]the battle of am i allowed to show everything or no or
[69:07]you dictate what i'm allowed to show one second you dictate what
[69:12]i'm allowed to show because you have your own version of history
[69:15]so why can't i have my version what is it what's what's
[69:19]haram about me having my version when you say to me that
[69:23]your films are sectarian let's bargain on this how shall we bargain
[69:28]you remove assadam and maslow from every bookshelf in the uk and
[69:33]we will at the same time try our hardest to make sure
[69:37]that films which are provocative are removed who are you to ask
[69:43]for an offer you're 15 of the muslim world you're talking to
[69:47]a blue chip company you see sometimes people don't understand the mentality
[69:51]i own a company worth seven billion pounds you own a company
[69:57]worth one million why in god's name are you trying to make
[70:01]an offer with me and bargain i make the deal i'm the
[70:04]one who's 80 percent of the muslim world you make your deal
[70:08]with me the problem has always been the bullying tactic that's used
[70:13]against others the way he went after the ismaili shia no one
[70:20]mentions that salah hadin is the great saladin and richard the lionheart
[70:24]why don't you mention the way he persecuted the ismailis the father
[70:28]of the empire which was the isma'ili shia why don't you mention
[70:33]salahuddin in that light no no no no no history is only
[70:37]written by us no it's not history is the science of ichtihad
[70:43]you have your reading i have my reading how dare you call
[70:48]me careful for my reading you disagree with a version of history
[70:55]of mine why can i not present my version islam my dear
[71:00]brothers and sisters does not have one version of history islam has
[71:04]a number of readings of history so when someone today comes and
[71:11]says fatwas the sunni going towards the salafis he says whoever doubts
[71:18]that then he himself becomes a kafir that's on the one side
[71:21]but then also with our side it's not like that we never
[71:26]had problems listen the sufferings and the ottomans was not a healthy
[71:29]period the shia have their problems with the ottomans and the ottomans
[71:35]had their problem with their sufferings and not everything can be brought
[71:38]down to simple sunnishi apalamics however when a person turns around and
[71:43]says to me the two people are sectarian i have to admit
[71:49]if i look at majlis's bihar i might find something that says
[71:52]that those who are not shia they are at least internally kafur
[71:58]and the 12th imam will expose that that also exists in my
[72:03]book as well if i want the world to move forward i
[72:05]have to show what's in my book and what's this our shia
[72:10]lama believe that non-shia externally are muslim internally they go towards the
[72:17]direction in one of their discussions but the majority go towards it
[72:23]that muslims internally are disbelievers because of the rejection of william but
[72:32]externally no externally they are muslims and that is the way that
[72:39]we judge them on the external but if it was they'll go
[72:42]towards that direction someone says that does that mean if we want
[72:45]to move away from a world of tech fear between muslims that
[72:49]we should stop discussing these sensitive issues there has been a campaign
[72:53]i saw a press conference in on youtube about a month ago
[72:59]where sunni and shia olama had got together and these sunni and
[73:04]shia had got together and they were saying that there needs to
[73:07]be unity unity is a slogan that everybody throws without having the
[73:16]deeper understanding unity is not something that's going to happen theologically take
[73:19]it from me theologically what we should be looking at is how
[73:25]can we as muslims coexist but have different narratives of history that
[73:30]is where we head when a person just throws unity as i
[73:35]heard one scholar say it in one video i was in disbelief
[73:40]baba takriya has a limit but don't go that far i beg
[73:43]you i heard one who said how could i attack the early
[73:51]caliphs when one of them is imam assadak's great grandfather uncle allah
[74:01]destroyed him someone says but if we don't talk about these things
[74:08]if we talk about these early history someone said then we're going
[74:12]to be called kafirs and in pakistan people will kill us have
[74:16]you ever seen an order election pakistan or no by ashi have
[74:18]you seen one or no they've said ahmad gives a lecture or
[74:25]anyone else gives a lecture discussing fedex or sacrifice then in pakistan
[74:29]shia will get killed if i give a lecture discussing have you
[74:35]ever seen an ordinance in pakistan have you ever seen one they
[74:40]don't need me to give lectures they can cause enough trouble themselves
[74:50]when torabi died after tarabi died went into a direction where literally
[74:59]majalis were purely tabarro without saying the names you need me to
[75:08]give lectures you need me if i give a lecture in england
[75:11]it's going to cause a problem pakistan go listen to the ones
[75:14]in pakistan they don't need me themselves need a major reform for
[75:21]two reasons the first reason is if you think those hints hint
[75:25]in tint you're giving on mimbar people don't know who you're talking
[75:27]about you gotta wake up and smell the coffee everyone now knows
[75:31]who you're talking about secondly because the youth are now getting bored
[75:35]of that direction the youth want something a bit more intellectual at
[75:40]least rather than how am i gonna bash the calyps for one
[75:43]hour for 12 nights there's no other topic just bash them no
[75:46]other topic because you bashing them at least bring some other topic
[75:50]for the love of god what's the topic what's the topic what's
[75:55]the topic greatness of imam ali what's the topic badness of sativa
[75:58]what's the topic badness of jamal what's the topic bad is there
[76:02]no other topic in islam just those every year in karachi there's
[76:05]no other topic in islamabad no other topic in lahore no other
[76:09]topic in mumbai no other topic in delhi you come and tell
[76:12]us that we shouldn't dissect history baba i have every right to
[76:15]dissect history but but nor do we need to dissect it in
[76:21]a way where we're going to insult and make fun and make
[76:23]jokes on the member and the crowd going okay marshall the crowd's
[76:25]doing wawa for you and the crowds come back wild but for
[76:31]what for what reason what's being achieved the problem isn't the topic
[76:36]rather it's the analysis and where it heads we can analyze early
[76:41]history and no one can dictate to us what we can and
[76:46]we can't analyze each and every one of us has the right
[76:50]to analyze and some people who are saying don't discuss these early
[76:53]issues so what shall we do shall we begin to scrap fratamiya
[76:56]now shall we end fatima no more shahadah shall we begin to
[77:02]strap it because someone says it's better we don't discuss these things
[77:05]so let's grab this and then one day we'll scrap karbala when
[77:11]we discuss these we are muslims who have every right as people
[77:17]of the qibla people of la ilaha muhammad rasulullah we have every
[77:21]right to discuss our history because the only way forward is not
[77:25]shia sunni unity the way forward is that my sunni brother and
[77:31]sister has their ichthy heart on history and i have my ichthy
[77:34]heart on history and on the particulars of us they have their
[77:38]ichthy heart i might heard your heart if you honestly and sincerely
[77:43]and that's why when someone says to me do you believe non-shia
[77:46]kafir i always say no someone says what do you mean i
[77:51]say a non-shia is not a cathode while he says and he
[77:53]says muhammad rasool allah he is not a kafir he is a
[77:56]muslim and i will always a muslim and there's a third point
[78:00]and that is who am i to judge how much of islam
[78:04]and its real origin reached him what do i mean someone who's
[78:09]not shia i don't judge them the way you judge yourself there
[78:13]are some who've never heard what took place at sacrifice there are
[78:18]some believe me go in a taxi in north africa go in
[78:23]a taxi in north africa when you enter that taxi ask the
[78:28]driver a driver he'll ask you where you from for example if
[78:30]you ask me where am i from i'll say iraq say which
[78:35]part of anarch i say i'm from najib not baghdad because first
[78:42]thing is baghdad nightclubs ladies no where am i from okay now
[78:51]jeff what's there this credit of what's there goes to a few
[79:00]people amongst them saddam hussein big credit to him because saddam hussein
[79:07]made sure if you finish this hussain you finish the shia ban
[79:13]if you go today to the hijaz in the eastern province there
[79:18]are majalis you go to bahrain manama is called the second karbala
[79:24]saddam hussein's iraq not a sniff of a mageless 77 till o3
[79:31]you had to hide to do a majlis that's called persecution yes
[79:38]so now if i look at the nancy i will ever say
[79:41]kapha no way because only allah can judge what came to them
[79:45]if i am seeing someone who blatantly knows about imam ali and
[79:51]wants to be obstinate even then i cannot judge because only allah
[79:56]can judge them only allah can judge never can i look at
[79:59]another muslim and say he's a catholic yes there might be a
[80:01]term of nawaz that's a different story the one who has hate
[80:06]for ah little bait that's a different story but to see another
[80:09]muslim i will never shout outside the cinema sunni are this no
[80:15]my problem i have no issue with whatsoever at all nothing i
[80:22]discuss their theories and their history the people sometimes can be better
[80:28]than my people in can be closer to me as friends but
[80:31]discussing history and theology that is not a problem and that's why
[80:36]we tell all of our youth the don't be of those who
[80:41]are scared about discussing your history be proud of it be proud
[80:45]to defend the principles of be proud with your identity and appreciate
[80:51]that others have their identity we have ours they have their history
[80:57]which is true we have ours they have their hadiths which are
[81:00]weak we have ours as well appreciate but be ready always to
[81:08]defend your religion and remember one slogan in your life what is
[81:11]it who said that slogan one man he had just lost his
[81:22]right arm yes many times people don't understand abel why because all
[81:29]they hear is just the music without focusing on the words of
[81:32]the music something remarkable about him and that is not just his
[81:41]defense of william number one defense of nobu defense of tawheed he
[81:49]ultimately when he begins to lose what he loses have you ever
[81:54]i asked you seen anyone recite poetry while bleeding i ask you
[81:59]to think about this think about it in your life if i
[82:02]get a small injury a small injury say my toenail breaks or
[82:07]comes off i'll be screaming if you ask me at that moment
[82:10]recite a poem i said what poem but if i lost my
[82:16]arm i will be in even more anguish unless the level of
[82:21]insight i have reached is the highest level unless the level of
[82:24]japan that i've reached is the highest level unless the level of
[82:28]bliss i have achieved spiritually is the highest level of bliss any
[82:33]human being can ever achieve people ask why why about abdullah when
[82:38]kept on asking you let me go out on the battlefield why
[82:41]would abba abdullah keep saying not now not now until imam al-hussein
[82:46]would say to him go and get water why not just let
[82:50]him go out and the answer is that imam al-hussein wanted to
[82:55]tell abel that your real enemy abbas is not those opposition your
[82:59]real enemy is your own nephs if you can get past your
[83:05]nephs then you abbas will see bliss like you've never ever seen
[83:09]before you'll begin to recite couplets of poetry you'll see yourself at
[83:14]the highest level where death is just a bridge for you for
[83:18]the hereafter and truly when you look at his lines you realize
[83:24]the effect that this particular jihadist victory had on abel but the
[83:31]saddest thing is the fact that it has insane what made him
[83:47]leave what made him leave was while he was discussing with abba
[83:50]abdullah he heard a cry they both were standing looking at each
[83:56]other they heard a cry imagine that tear or that cry from
[84:02]your own children allah there are those of you here who have
[84:05]children when you see your daughter or your son cry a little
[84:09]bit you run to them but when you notice they're thirsty you
[84:12]straight away want to quench their thirst [Laughter] go and get some
[84:31]water every year we remember this but look at us it breaks
[84:34]our hearts every year we remember these lines he said to him
[84:40]go and get water for the children around me especially the six-month-old
[84:50]baby she looked towards him zainab looked towards him they knew that
[84:58]this was the time that they would bid him farewell he went
[85:01]towards that water of the faraday when he got closer to the
[85:08]water the soldiers began to attackable they attacked him but whose son
[85:13]is he he's um yes sir he wanted to make his mother
[85:17]proud and his father amir and mormon proud when he went past
[85:25]them they had come towards the farad his lips were dry from
[85:29]the thirst when he came towards the water imagine holding that cold
[85:37]water in your hand and you haven't drunk water for a while
[85:40]his naps was saying to him drink it but how can i
[85:46]drink water while my master is thirsty yes sir how is it
[86:04]that i can come out and drink and my brother's about to
[86:08]drink the syrup of death he carried the water back on his
[86:13]way as he's returning one of the men struck his right arm
[86:19]if someone struck your right arm you would think that you would
[86:31][Music] [Music] he tried to hold on now with his left arm
[86:57]the problem is now that if that arm goes the alarm is
[87:02]about to fall and [Laughter] they took the left arm over trying
[87:50]to hold on guys normally when someone falls [Applause] running towards him
[88:15]imagine that scene when he came he couldn't tell but who is
[88:18]it all he called out is i tell you all please don't
[88:22]strike me until i see my master imam hussain who's gonna carry
[88:54]your head [Applause] what is it tell me he said leave me
[89:14]here don't take me back i promise to canaanite come back with
[89:18]water about abdullah wanted something from him what did he want he
[89:26]said at first i ask you for what they said what is
[89:30]it call me your brother call me call me where is he
[90:01]tell me tell me tell me where is he so cain is
[90:07]crying looking for his body saying i've never forgot this moment when
[90:15]she returned to caramala she went to his grave yes all those
[90:20]months later she came back yes she came near his grave she
[90:28]said where were you when they snapped us where were you when
[90:32]they attacked our creeds m [Music] m
