[0:08]wa sallahu allah sayidina muhammadin wa ala nabina Tajin lungs on the
[0:15]other we continue our examination of the first sermon in natural balada
[0:22]which is considered by many scholars and critics to be the most
[0:30]important sermon in natural Barada as the imam mahdi salaam encapsulate our
[0:36]belief system the attributes of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala the creation of the
[0:43]universe the creation of the angels prophets and some branches of faith
[0:50]in this wonderful sermon on page 64 to 65 of the book
[0:58]the Imam Ali Salaam in describing the attributes of allah subhanaw taala
[1:00]mentions the following attribute canon LA and hadith what does cotton mean
[1:15]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala is existent he's a being he's existent but
[1:22]not an hadith not through the phenomenon of coming into existence not
[1:30]because God was non-existent then as a result of some occurrence allah
[1:37]subhanaw taala became existent so what differentiates allah subhanaw taala from all
[1:44]other creations is that every other creation came into existence whereas Allah
[1:50]subhana WA Ta'ala never came into existence now we discussed last week
[1:56]the intellectual law that stipulates this that when you analyze the universe
[2:00]and the creation of the universe the intellect will tell you you
[2:05]must reach a being whose not physical who's not in need who's
[2:09]the source of this universe and was not created was always existing
[2:13]who's above time and above space that is something that our intellect
[2:20]has already determined even though we cannot fully grasp it but we
[2:24]can intellectually understand it so allah subhanho wa taala car and rule
[2:28]and hadith don't think that when we say Allah is existing that
[2:34]means there was a point when he did not exist then he
[2:36]came into existence no allah subhanaw taala was always there mowjood on
[2:43]an atom allah subhanho wa taala is there but not from non-existence
[2:52]nah I couldn't leash a in la bemol Parana look at the
[2:58]beautiful wording of the Imam Allah is with everything the Quran says
[3:04]wa huwa Markham ænima kuntum allies with you wherever you are but
[3:09]the Imam says when you think of God being with you being
[3:16]everywhere do not think of it in physical terms Allah is with
[3:21]you but not in physical nearness and concomitant when we say a
[3:31]lesser penalty Allah is with us that means his knowledge is ever-present
[3:36]he is aware of all of our actions his power and knowledge
[3:41]are present he's got full authority and full control over us and
[3:46]he is aware of what we do otherwise physically Allah Spanish Allah
[3:52]is not present with us in physical terms so the Imam Mahdi's
[3:56]Salam States Allah is with everything but not in terms of physical
[4:01]nearness because Allah is not a physical entity but at the same
[4:07]time while they you know coalition a labem jose Allah Allah Subhan
[4:11]Allah Allah is also different from everything there's nothing like him but
[4:18]not in terms of physical separation see when you have two people
[4:22]let's say aliens eight they're different from each other Ali occupies this
[4:27]she has these physical characteristics Zaid occupies different space and he has
[4:32]these physical characteristics so they're different in terms of physical separation they're
[4:39]different they're physically separate from each other but when we think of
[4:44]allah subhana wa ta'ala he is different than us but don't think
[4:47]of that difference in terms of physical separation allah subhanaw taala is
[4:54]different than us because his attributes there's nothing like them there is
[5:01]no like no partner to allah subhanaw taala nothing in the universe
[5:05]resembles God that's how he's different from us so he is with
[5:09]us yet he's different from us it's an interesting you know paradox
[5:16]over here if you really think about it unless permit Allah is
[5:20]with us all the time but not in terms of physical nearness
[5:23]and he's different from us but not in terms of physical separation
[5:34]yes brother so so yes there are some who state that it's
[5:38]mentioned in the Bible that God created the human being in his
[5:40]image or in his form there are two ways of looking at
[5:46]this if what they mean by this is symbolic meaning God created
[5:51]the human beings from His infinite power that's what they mean by
[5:55]it yes this is something acceptable but if they mean in His
[5:58]image in his form that a la spada has a specific form
[6:04]or a specific image then this is concerned blasphemy because now we're
[6:08]limiting allah subhana wa ta'ala see even when we examine our attributes
[6:18]initially they might be similar to God Allah is generous and you
[6:24]have X person who is also generous Allah is the ultimate powerful
[6:26]one I have some power but really there is no comparison between
[6:30]our attributes and the attribute of God because the attributes of Allah
[6:34]are essential he independently has them whereas our attributes are an extension
[6:41]of his power so you cannot really compare between them so our
[6:47]attributes do not resemble God in fact knowing Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[6:51]means that you come to the realization that he's different than us
[6:58]the more you think of Allah as being different than you the
[7:03]more you know God yes there are gifts from God but in
[7:12]the end what about the image God created man in His image
[7:16]so yes if we symbolically take our attributes to be a gift
[7:21]from God that a last panel to Allah has given us these
[7:23]gifts that's fine but to literally take these attributes and compare them
[7:29]to God there is no comparison because let me give you a
[7:32]very brief example God has knowledge and we have some knowledge but
[7:35]is the nature of our knowledge like the knowledge of Allah no
[7:43]our knowledge means that we process information and we come to know
[7:48]things right it's a physical process gaining knowledge requires a physical process
[7:55]you acquire information your brain and your neurons and brain cells process
[8:00]that and then you make sense of something unless above all that
[8:03]in fact we do not know what it means for a lot
[8:08]to be knowledgeable except for this much Allah is aware of everything
[8:12]he has no ignorant there's no ignorance in God that's as far
[8:16]as we can understand about the knowledge of God but what is
[8:20]the nature of the knowledge of God some philosophers have tried to
[8:25]examine what the nature of God's knowledge is but we don't know
[8:29]what the nature of God's some philosophers have given the following example
[8:34]there like we human beings our knowledge is acquired you have to
[8:39]acquire it whereas God's knowledge is ever-present let me give you an
[8:44]example if you touch something that's hot let's say you're even thinking
[8:49]of something your eyes are closed you're distracted then your hands touch
[8:54]something that's burning hot do you feel the heat what kind of
[9:01]knowledge is that that this is hot as this is echo is
[9:03]this acquired where you're processing information or the knowledge is present there
[9:08]that knowledge is present there right you just feel it some people
[9:17]some philosophers have stated that God's knowledge of the universe is like
[9:20]this type of knowledge he just feels the universe but many of
[9:24]our scholars have even rejected them they're like even that requires a
[9:29]physical process to feel something right analyze above any physical processes so
[9:34]in reality we know God is knowledgeable but we don't know what
[9:37]his knowledge really is what's the knowledge of Allah we don't know
[9:42]what's the nature of his power we don't know that's something that's
[9:46]beyond our comprehension so in that regard it's impossible to compare between
[9:52]our attributes and his attributes our enemy is completely different than his
[9:57]own there's no comparison there's no similarity because the nature of our
[10:01]knowledge is different than the nature of his knowledge so the imam
[10:08]ali salaam makes a very important point that allah subhana wa ta'ala
[10:12]is different than us why does the imam mention this you would
[10:17]think okay it's obvious that god is different from us no if
[10:20]you look at many many philosophers throughout history many even scholars even
[10:27]muslim scholars throughout history such as some sufi scholars they are of
[10:34]the opinion that there is nothing in existence other than god nothing
[10:39]exists other than god everything in universe is God and they take
[10:49]this literally and they tell you that even this physical world even
[10:54]your bodies for instance you human beings you are a dimension of
[10:59]God and this is the example that they gave imagine imagine just
[11:05]for the sake of argument to kind of bring their idea closer
[11:08]to our mind imagine God is like an ocean what are we
[11:14]in that ocean were the waves the wave is something distinct from
[11:19]the ocean like you could visibly discern it right but what is
[11:24]the wave other than the same ocean is it something else let
[11:29]me ask you what is a wave you have an ocean which
[11:31]is a body of water and then you have a wave what's
[11:35]the difference between the two there's no difference the wave is the
[11:39]ocean but it has taken a different form what is the ocean
[11:43]is it something other than the ocean did we add something to
[11:47]it no the same thing that makes up the ocean makes up
[11:52]the wave with drops of water same drops of water but you
[11:55]give it a distinct shape and it becomes a wave these Sufi
[11:59]philosophers believe that God is like this ocean and we the human
[12:08]beings this physical universe that we see is like that wave so
[12:12]literally we're part of God and they literally believe that God settles
[12:18]in everything he's literally present everywhere every little thing in the universe
[12:23]every atom is a part of God even until today there aren't
[12:26]philosophers who believe in this and this is one type of pantheism
[12:33]by the way that everything is God in stating that a last
[12:35]panel to allow hey you know clearly shape the Imam makes this
[12:39]very clear hey you know could you say he's different than everything
[12:43]the Amman Hani Salaam is rejecting this idea that everything is gone
[12:49]no not everything is God the creation of God is different than
[12:53]God it's his creation there was a point when it was not
[13:00]even there then a last panel Tirana gave life to it alas
[13:04]parrillada created it so the creation of God is different than God
[13:07]but don't think of this difference as like physical separation because Allah
[13:12]has no physical entity so it's difficult to grasp but you get
[13:18]the idea so the amount on each atom actually rejects these Sufi
[13:22]ideas that God has settled in a body or in this physical
[13:26]world this is unacceptable allah subhanallah does above that in fact you
[13:31]know what some of them say some of them were big top
[13:34]Sufi scholars by the way some of them even say that the
[13:39]idol worshipers in reality are worshipping who God because there's nothing else
[13:43]other than God so any think your worship is gonna be God
[13:48]in fact you know they even take it a step further and
[13:53]they say if you believe that the creation of God is different
[13:56]than God then you're almost like because now you've added something other
[14:00]than God you've put something next to God which is his creation
[14:07]and they have these fallacies and the Imam artisan on beautifully Nanjing
[14:10]but Allah says well hey you know cliche make no mistake God
[14:13]is different than his creation don't say that God literally is his
[14:17]creation and there's nothing but God no yes if we symbolically state
[14:24]that everything in the universe is owned by God and nothing happens
[14:27]except with the permission of Allah therefore he is everywhere in everything
[14:32]yes symbolically we do accept that but don't take that literally me
[14:36]mymadison i'm draws a very red line over here a big red
[14:38]line well hey you're o couldn t shade don't mix God with
[14:44]his creation Allah is the creator how can you bring the creator
[14:47]down to its creation that's an insult to the status of allah
[14:49]subhanaw taala now this theory over here that they have some of
[14:56]these Sufi scholars is called an Arabic word a Telugu Judy one
[15:03]mowjood don't confuse two theories there's why the two no dude that's
[15:08]different it's very philosophical we won't get into have different opinions about
[15:13]it but we have worked to new Judy well mowjood the unity
[15:16]of existence and everything that exists there's one unity there's one existence
[15:22]there's one thing in the universe and that's God there's nothing else
[15:25]this is something that the Imam Ali said I mean Angela a
[15:30]girl rejects outright what I you know clearly she is very clear
[15:32]that Allah is different than his creation don't mix between the two
[15:48]any questions on that yes who says Buhari says that Allah and
[15:55]the day of judgments will not be visible Allah be high symptom
[16:00]but it doesn't mean we're going to see him the angels will
[16:02]do that on behalf of God so on the day of judgement
[16:08]make no mistake about this no one will see God Buhari does
[16:10]say that on the day of judgment you'll see God like you
[16:14]see how many of you saw the full moon tonight when you
[16:15]were driving the bihari says just like you see the full moon
[16:20]how visible and clear it is you'll see God on the day
[16:24]of judgment the Imams of enolates outright reject that not to the
[16:27]Imam the Quran LA to do recall observe the Quran is very
[16:30]clear that the eyes shall never meet Allah la to do recoil
[16:35]of Sun and when Musa asked a la semana to Allah to
[16:40]show his people when they asked Musa let's see God Allah tells
[16:43]Musa land tehrani land in Arabic it means never you'll never be
[16:47]able to see me not in this dunya and the arkarow so
[16:51]on the day of judgment will never see God we we talked
[17:05]about this two weeks ago when one of the sisters asked this
[17:08]question or one of the brothers asked if your child is at
[17:15]I would recommend if you find that their capacity is still not
[17:19]enough for them to grasp these higher ideas just distract them and
[17:26]say something like that say yeah tell them just like light you
[17:29]know is is everywhere and you can't pinpoint where it is for
[17:34]instance allah subhana wa ta'ala is the light that fills the universe
[17:37]just give them examples like that know the quran just say Allah
[17:43]Allah Allah Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth
[17:46]so give them easy words like that to understand but tell them
[17:49]God doesn't have a body he's like light everywhere or these days
[17:54]for example you can give them these ideas tell them don't you
[17:58]see for instance we have signals Wi-Fi signals waves that we can't
[18:03]see with the eyes ask your child there's a wave have a
[18:08]physical form it does of course scientifically but for for the sake
[18:13]of your child's understanding but see that Wi-Fi how much knowledge it
[18:17]gives you right within a touch of a planet could send you
[18:20]megabytes and megabytes of information just give them ideals like that see
[18:24]Allah is not physical and he can give us power and give
[18:29]us knowledge so just give them examples like that after saying this
[18:34]the imam ali in salah mentioned something very interesting and miraculous about
[18:39]the creation of God before the Imam examines how the universe was
[18:44]created the Imam talks about how Allah created this universe he makes
[18:50]a very important observation he says when God created the universe bill
[18:54]are we attend a jalaja unlike us human beings when we want
[19:03]to create something yes sister no that's okay directly with God so
[19:27]the great prophets and the Imams of enovate and the righteous ones
[19:31]when we hear about some stories of them talking to God or
[19:38]God revealing to them now the most common way was through an
[19:42]angel right but sometimes Allah would directly talk to his prophets example
[19:47]prophets messiahs Allah when Allah Spano Ta'ala spoke to him now when
[19:50]allah subhanaw taala speaks to a profit the profit is not seeing
[19:57]God and the Prophet is not literally hearing the voice of God
[20:00]because the last panel - Allah does not have a voice Allah
[20:03]creates a medium so for instance when prophets Musa spoke to God
[20:10]in Mount Sinai around that tree Allah generated a voice and he
[20:15]spoke to Musa God created a sound sound waves and he spoke
[20:22]to Musa but remember those sand waves are not the direct voice
[20:25]of God they're just a creation of God God generating sound waves
[20:29]so when we say the Imams and the prophets they would speak
[20:34]to Allah they would experience the greatness of God for example the
[20:39]Prophet on his journey to the Mirage the Ascension he experienced the
[20:42]glory of God but he never saw Allah subhana WA Ta'ala because
[20:47]Allah cannot be seen and when they would communicate to God either
[20:52]God would directly reveal in their heart something they directly feel it
[20:56]in their hearts and Allah would communicate with them or God would
[21:00]create a voice as sound God would generate that sound that sound
[21:04]carries the message from God to them but they never physically experienced
[21:09]God they never physically heard God or saw Allah because Allah spano
[21:13]to Allah does not have a voice alas Muhammad Allah does not
[21:18]have a physical appearance does that answer the course you're welcome yes
[21:25]brother so he became very close to the glory of God now
[21:33]what that glory is that's beyond our comprehension but it's not physical
[21:37]it's not physical no it's definitely not physical yes there are some
[21:43]hadiths and some deviant Muslim books which do give you that image
[21:46]some other schools of thought they say the profit on the Mirage
[21:49]he saw God in the image of a young boy of a
[21:55]teenager you know who still does not have a beard yet Shaab
[21:59]I mean yes there are some sources that state that unfortunately even
[22:04]until today they have survived in some books this is category with
[22:09]categorically rejected by the anime - peace be upon them Allah has
[22:13]no physical form yes and Allah said land tehrani Allah said no
[22:18]Allah said Gold the mountain if you've seen the mountain stable and
[22:21]fixed in its position you'll see me what happened to the mountain
[22:26]it exploded and it was raised on top of their heads those
[22:29]seventy people whom he chosen they demanded to see allah so allah
[22:36]subhanaw taala cannot be seen but yes his glory and a dimension
[22:40]of his power can be felt by the righteous ones now when
[22:46]it comes to creation we human beings when we want to manufacture
[22:49]something when we want to do something we normally talk to contemplate
[22:53]think plan it out then we execute it the amount on each
[22:58]setup States when Allah created the universe bail out are we at
[23:01]San Aegina God did not need to contemplate and to do his
[23:04]calculations no because Allah is knowledge as infinite he knows everything he
[23:11]doesn't need to experiment what I said Julia Burton is the father
[23:16]Allah did not experiment a lot directly created the universe without any
[23:21]contemplation because Allah doesn't contemplate he doesn't need to contemplate it doesn't
[23:26]even make any sense to say God contemplates his knowledge is ever
[23:30]present when he wants to do something just happen and Alaska Panama
[23:36]tada did not experiment that's very important what's different about us human
[23:42]beings and what we create because some people sometimes become arrogant and
[23:46]they think you know God creating will we could create - we
[23:48]just need better science and more technology to do what God did
[23:52]some people are arrogant and think that way remember everything we create
[23:58]the human beings first of all we're not creating out of nothing
[24:00]we're just rearranging I'll where as a last planet Allah created the
[24:07]universe out of nothing that's number one number two we observe nature
[24:11]and we copy that's what we do every achievement the human being
[24:16]has done is by observing nature rearranging it whereas allah subhanho wa
[24:21]taala when there was nothing he didn't copy from anything that's the
[24:27]miracle of God's creation he put something into existence without a previous
[24:33]example and number three we human beings we keep experimenting experimenting until
[24:38]we get it right whereas with God there was one time and
[24:42]he created the universe he did not need to experiment and experiment
[24:46]and experiment so always remember this about the miraculous nature of a
[24:54]last creation now there's one objection here that Massa modern atheists are
[25:01]stating the first part has to do with the evolution the second
[25:04]part has to do with the nature of the galaxies this is
[25:11]very important they say that when you look at the history of
[25:16]evolution and human-like species that were evolving I remember even one of
[25:22]them I was in one class and he straight out said this
[25:26]he's like if there is this God who created it looks like
[25:30]this God is experimenting because he created so many species many of
[25:38]them became extinct some of them made it those who had certain
[25:43]qualities they were fittest they survived and then many others became extinct
[25:47]then he gave an example he drew this tree on a board
[25:52]see we've got these human-like figures millions of years ago because they
[25:56]lacked this feature and quality they became extinct and that species became
[26:01]extinct whereas some species who had this quality they survived for instance
[26:07]it is believed by evolutionary scientists that one factor that allowed those
[26:16]early human-like figures to survive was the ability to walk upright to
[26:23]stand because when you stand now you have a better view of
[26:31]your horizon so if there is a predator if there is danger
[26:33]lurking out there you can see it better when you're standing upright
[26:37]whereas if you're walking on forth on two feet and two hands
[26:43]right and this makes many scientists believe that one reason why that
[26:48]species of human-like figures made it and survived is because they were
[26:53]better able to protect themselves from danger because when you can stand
[26:57]upright especially in those Prairie areas you can better see you have
[27:00]a better view so the idea that they're stating is this even
[27:05]if there's this creator it looks like his experimenting he doesn't know
[27:08]what he's doing if he wants to create the human being okay
[27:11]create him from day one why are you experimenting so many species
[27:15]go extinct some of them survive and then they evolve and then
[27:19]you have a functional species so how do we address that and
[27:24]then they have the following objection many of them say look at
[27:31]this universe today look at other planets what's the point of these
[27:36]planets look at for instance Jupiter some of them talk about Jupiter
[27:40]and they say if you look at all these planets the only
[27:44]planet that has all the right ingredients for life as Earth Jupiter
[27:52]is very similar to Earth it has a magnetic field it has
[27:56]gravity it rotates around the Sun but it lacks some basic for
[28:01]life so they're like this God whoever he is when he was
[28:08]creating this universe and he created all these planets he was experimenting
[28:12]he tried Jupiter Nath that didn't work for life he tried Saturn
[28:17]it didn't work Neptune didn't work Mars didn't work and then other
[28:20]galaxies you know we don't know if there's life there or not
[28:26]yet but other galaxies he tried ah then he landed at the
[28:29]right formula with planet Earth so they're saying their objection is these
[28:34]are all indications that you have a Creator who doesn't know what
[28:39]he's doing he doesn't know what the right ingredients are for life
[28:43]so he's testing and all of those planets failed finally he got
[28:47]the right ingredients so how does the amount on his said I'm
[28:52]saying that Jim Baraka when Allah created he didn't experiment he just
[28:57]created it directly knowing exactly what he was doing yes well they're
[29:02]saying if we admit that there is a creator then this crater
[29:06]doesn't know what he's doing he's experimenting and when you look at
[29:12]the vastness of the universe we see he's tried so many combinations
[29:15]so many different types of magnetic field so many types of gravity
[29:20]formulas so many different types of temperatures so many different types of
[29:26]atmospheric composition until he got the right one with earth this is
[29:29]the idea that they're posing and this is the objection that they're
[29:32]making how do we respond to that when it comes to their
[29:40]second argument about the universe first of all these guys are assuming
[29:45]that the world revolves around what around us and earth and they're
[29:50]assuming that everything out there must have physical life who told you
[29:56]what the goal of that creator is why did God create Jupiter
[30:00]we don't know maybe it serves a purpose that we're not aware
[30:03]maybe there are creations in Jupiter we don't know allah subhanaw taala
[30:08]the most thing he created his angels maybe the Angels fill this
[30:11]universe why are we as assuming that God created this universe just
[30:17]for humans and that anywhere in which there is no life that
[30:23]means the ingredient didn't work that in itself is arrogant to assume
[30:28]yes brother so secondly let's assume that is the case that Allah
[30:33]created this universe for the human being of course for the complete
[30:37]human being who are the prophets and the Imams of value-based peace
[30:42]be upon them right assuming that is the case scientists are finding
[30:49]evidence day after day that everything we see in the solar system
[30:54]and outside the solar system helps sustain life on earth so they
[31:00]gave the example of Jupiter recently they've discovered if it weren't for
[31:06]Jupiter earth couldn't exist why for instance Jupiter is so massive it's
[31:11]I don't know thousand three hundred times bigger than Earth the volume
[31:15]of it you could fit one thousand earths in Jupiter because of
[31:19]its sheer size it has a powerful gravitational force which actually acts
[31:27]as a protector and guardian for planet Earth so many meteors and
[31:34]big comets and asteroids would have collided with planet Earth if it
[31:40]were not for Jupiter sucking them in that in itself is protecting
[31:46]us Allah has Jupiter protecting planet Earth and sucking all those dangers
[31:52]in the solar system towards it secondly big planets like Saturn and
[31:56]Jupiter they help stabilize the solar system if you eliminate them or
[32:01]would not orbit the way it would orbit tuning so even if
[32:05]we assume we're at the center of this creation Allah created everything
[32:08]for us scientists today are acknowledging that without the current arrangement of
[32:15]the planets of the Sun of other nearby galaxies planet Earth couldn't
[32:19]survive even black holes how many of you have heard of black
[32:24]holes even black holes scientists are now starting to believe that black
[32:30]holes due to the amazing gravitational energy that they have they help
[32:35]stabilize the entire universe if it were not for these black holes
[32:41]because many scientists believe these black holes were just for nothing what
[32:45]purpose do they serve right there just whoever created them created them
[32:48]in vain if there was a creator who made them he did
[32:50]so in vain well now scientists are discovering even these black holes
[32:55]which we don't fully understand we know they're stabilizing the universe without
[33:00]the presence of these black holes the universe couldn't exist as we
[33:04]know it today the beautiful structure that you have the galaxies and
[33:07]their gravitational force and their orbit would not be stabilized without the
[33:12]black holes so everything in existence we could argue one day science
[33:17]might discover this is actually a recipe for life on Earth look
[33:24]at the greatness of the creation of a last final time even
[33:27]distant planets that scientists once thought what kind of impact would they
[33:31]have on earth they do have an impact so no there's no
[33:35]evidence there that we have this creator who's experimenting Allah put the
[33:41]right conditions there even if we assume that it was for life
[33:44]it doesn't make sense and there is more and more evidence for
[33:46]that same goes with the species that our last planet Allah created
[33:53]those species which our last planet Allah created before Adam because we
[33:58]do have references in the Quran and explicit hadith that before this
[34:03]Adam Allah created many atoms many human-like figures who resembled us but
[34:09]they had smaller brains lower intellect there was a reason why last
[34:13]panel Tata has created them sometimes the narrations refer to them sometimes
[34:16]we don't know it's not that Allah is experimenting and some of
[34:19]them just you know randomly went extinct no Allah created those creations
[34:26]they served a purpose during that time even dinosaurs for instance what
[34:29]Allah created them they serve the purpose Allah created them for a
[34:33]reason that worm right now that's in the Pacific Ocean eleven kilometers
[34:38]below sea level what purpose is that serving do we have to
[34:44]know everything we may not know Allah knows Allah created everything and
[34:47]if they do serve a purpose you can't say that God is
[34:50]experimenting there's no evidence for that Allah spano Tata has a plan
[34:59]from day one and if we don't understand why a certain species
[35:02]existed then when extinct that doesn't mean that a las montañas experimenting
[35:06]one day we might find out let's say science one day we'll
[35:09]discover that every species in the history of the planet even the
[35:18]dinosaurs even those microorganisms were necessary to sustain life for the human
[35:23]being to exist what if one day scientists come up with that
[35:26]discovery so would be unfair on their behalf on their part to
[35:31]come and say God is just experimenting here was there a question
[35:57]yes humans are walking on for interesting in the school of anal
[36:18]bait it is our opinion that the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa
[36:22]ala and the Imams of elevates they are leaders for all the
[36:28]creations of God and in fact the first thing that Allah ever
[36:31]created was their essence in their light and they are a source
[36:37]of guidance for all the creations of God so all the galaxies
[36:40]all the universes everything we have in existence it comes under the
[36:46]blessings of the a hundredweight peace be upon them yes that is
[36:51]our firm belief and if you're wondering if there are other creations
[36:55]in other planets there are hadeeth that might refer to that for
[37:00]instance there's one hadith now scholars have to research the chain to
[37:04]see if it's an authentic chain some have accepted it some have
[37:07]not rejected it but they just don't know if it's authentic or
[37:09]not but there is one hadith that states when Imam al-mahdi I'm
[37:12]general of Dada for a joke a Sharif will reappear he will
[37:18]travel with his companions to the stars and he will meet other
[37:22]creations there's a hadith like that so there could be life somewhere
[37:27]out there and the Imam at Islam will be given that technology
[37:31]by a last panel Tata to do something like that assuming that
[37:34]the hadith is an authentic hadith next the Imam Ali said I'm
[37:40]on page 65 talks about the creation of the universe how did
[37:44]the creation come into existence this is a very important focal point
[37:51]in science today scientists are trying to figure out how was the
[37:57]universe formed the Big Bang or that fast expansion how did that
[38:01]happen some of them believe it was an explosion some of them
[38:05]believed there was a very rapid expansion but how did that happen
[38:09]how did the universe come into creation and in fact space you
[38:17]know we have time and space space time where did that come
[38:21]from is that limited is that infinite and before space existed then
[38:31]suddenly it existed where did it exist what are the edges of
[38:34]that space a lot of people wonder about the edges of the
[38:37]universe right if you reach theoretically the edge of the universe what's
[38:41]on the other side is there like a brick wall that ends
[38:45]and then what's what's on the other side there's no space how
[38:47]do you see that no space how do you touch that no
[38:51]space right a lot of people have these questions in fact the
[38:55]universe itself is that finite or is it infinite scientists are divided
[38:58]into two groups one group of scientists they believe the universe must
[39:02]be finite we've got to be limited because if I had a
[39:06]birth if I had a starting point thirty thirteen billion years ago
[39:09]and it's dawn to expand that means it's limited it's very big
[39:12]but it's limited in the end but some scientists today are saying
[39:19]the universe is infinite it's difficult to grasp that but they're saying
[39:24]it's infinite no matter how much you go and go and go
[39:27]into space we'll never end it's just like a sphere that keeps
[39:31]going you know you keep revolving around it now is it spherical
[39:35]is that flat they have their theories scientists but here's one thing
[39:41]for sure scientists don't know exactly what happened what are the edges
[39:46]of the universe does it even have edges or no they don't
[39:50]know it's all speculation you know sometimes when we read these theories
[39:53]my dear brothers and sisters we take them as like facts we
[39:57]don't know we don't know exactly what happened 13 billion years ago
[40:03]these are theories so when we read something from the imam ali
[40:11]salam and initially it might not you know be validating exactly what
[40:15]scientists tell us let's not throw it out the window quickly trying
[40:18]to change their minds every few decades and they come up with
[40:21]new theories many many of them would state the universe was limited
[40:28]find out now some of them were saying no no no it's
[40:29]infinite and then the Big Bang when it happened we consider that
[40:35]the birth of the universe right before that there was nothing now
[40:38]they've they're modifying their theories no no this infinitely is happening the
[40:43]Big Bang you've got black holes they suck up the entire universe
[40:46]then they explode and this has been happening infinitely in time and
[40:50]every few decades they've got a new a new theory the project
[40:55]for what to see ya to try to replicate what would have
[41:10]happened in the Big Bang so see this is a work in
[41:16]progress a scientists cannot tell you I know exactly how the universe
[41:19]was created what space what time was that there was it not
[41:24]there these are things scientists cannot answer now at least with the
[41:28]technology that we have so what does Imam Ali bin Abi Talib
[41:30]an economist team when it comes to the creation of the universe
[41:34]the imam ali salam says thumb and subhanahu fertile egg wha it
[41:42]seems from the hotma of the imam that the first thing allah
[41:47]subhanaw taala created was space what we understand from this hadith is
[41:56]that space was not infinitely present there was a time when there
[42:03]was no space and Allah created space the first thing in existence
[42:08]in the physical existence is space Allah and Sheppard and Shia fat
[42:13]can add wong-fat in Arabic means to open split something open a
[42:18]last panel to add a split space out of nowhere that in
[42:23]itself is miraculous you can't even think about it think about it
[42:26]can you imagine where this space popped out of you can't it's
[42:31]beyond our imagination subhanAllah look at the human being how weak he
[42:36]is you know the senses that we have these very basic senses
[42:43]that we have what's miraculous about God's creation is that he invented
[42:50]these senses you the human being if you want to describe these
[42:54]senses to someone who lacks them you cannot imagine someone born blind
[42:58]can you describe to them what colors are try what are you
[43:04]gonna tell them but even the basic colors if someone was born
[43:14]blind them they've never seen can you explain to them what vision
[43:19]is you can't if someone was born deaf and they don't know
[43:21]what sounds are can you explain to them what is what sound
[43:25]is when you listen to a voice how that is you can't
[43:27]subhanAllah look at the creation of God these basic things we experienced
[43:36]them but we can't even describe their reality the sense of taste
[43:40]try to explain it to someone who lacks it impossible can you
[43:44]think of a sixth sense really a sixth sense can you what
[43:50]would it look like look at the human being with all of
[43:54]our advancements we can't come up with a sixth sense can you
[43:59]imagine a sixth sense other than hearing seeing smelling tasting can you
[44:03]can you come up with a sixth one what would it be
[44:06]like you can't I know scientists talk about sometimes having you know
[44:13]a different dimension somewhere but really a sixth sense that's how weak
[44:17]we are and that's the creation of God Allah created these senses
[44:21]out of nothing nothing no example before no experimentation he just created
[44:28]those senses we the human being we can't add a sixth sense
[44:34]and without the existence of allah subhanho time where did these senses
[44:40]come from what evolution what's evolution to create senses for you subhanAllah
[44:46]so the amount of Saddam States thumb and share Subhanahu feta can
[44:51]add you are a last panel to honor opened space out of
[44:54]nothing dan in itself is miraculous then the Imam in the following
[45:03]passage goes into amazing detail about how the universe was formed the
[45:08]Imam talks about space number one the next thing I will summarize
[45:13]this because it's very very detailed the next thing that the allah
[45:17]subhana wa ta'ala created according to the sermon of the imam after
[45:22]creating space the first thing that God created and the universe was
[45:29]water yes Allah created the first thing water now scholars have different
[45:36]views about what this water is what water is the Imam talking
[45:39]about is he talking about this liquid water that we're familiar with
[45:43]something that looks like water something liquid in nature scholars have different
[45:49]views one group of scholars believe when the Imam says water he
[45:53]doesn't literally mean this water he means something which resembles a liquid
[46:00]and this fits in with the big bang theory because when you
[46:07]had that explosion right or that rapid expansion basically the entire universe
[46:12]was in a gaseous state you had these plumes of gas everywhere
[46:17]and under that immense pressure if you put gas under immense pressure
[46:24]it represent as a liquid looks like a liquid so maybe the
[46:27]Imam when he says the first thing God created his water he's
[46:30]referring to this stage in the Big Bang when everything was gaseous
[46:36]when you had that rapid you know expansion of the universe and
[46:41]it resembled a liquid that's one group of scholars another group of
[46:46]scholars say no water thus water that we know was the first
[46:52]thing God created now scientists given their technology cannot verify this however
[46:55]what's interesting about what scientists can verify what are the most two
[47:04]common elements in the universe the first one is one hydrogen right
[47:09]what's the second one oxygen and what what two elements form water
[47:15]so when the imam mahdi salam says the first thing allah created
[47:23]was water essentially we can take it to mean that the first
[47:26]thing God created was hydrogen and oxygen and the entire universe is
[47:31]formed from hydrogen and oxygen mainly hydrogen maybe that's what the Imam
[47:36]Ali Saddam is referring to that this is the source of this
[47:41]physical universe hydrogen and oxygen and by the way the second most
[47:46]common substance in the universe is water in the form of water
[47:49]vapor and gas in this universe that we see today water is
[47:55]the second most common substance so this is possibly a reference to
[48:00]that that the amount of a said I was telling us this
[48:03]water look at the composition of it Allah created this universe from
[48:07]the composition of water and subhanAllah when you read those verses and
[48:12]Hadees that say Allah created everything out of water every living thing
[48:17]out of water go back all the way to the beginning of
[48:23]the universe when the source of this universe was water subhanAllah look
[48:27]at the vastness of this universe what are the building blocks of
[48:30]this universe hydrogen oxygen what is hydrogen and oxygen two simple elements
[48:35]right but Allah says look at this grand universe that's expanding faster
[48:41]than you can even conceive the building blocks are hydrogen and oxygen
[48:46]the Imam calls that water isn't that amazing look at the creation
[48:53]of allah subhanho wa taala so that's a second opinion that scholars
[48:57]have a third opinion about what this water means there's one hadith
[49:02]from an imam in baccarat it's an immoral imam sadiq ali salam
[49:05]in which he was asked about this verse there is a verse
[49:10]in the holy quran which states allah created the heavens and the
[49:15]earth what can our Eshoo who allan ma and his throne was
[49:23]on water this is now quran this is not hadith what does
[49:26]this verse me and the throne of God was on water what
[49:31]does that mean now if you look at some schools of thought
[49:33]other than the a debates they've taken this physically that there's literally
[49:37]like a chair a throne floating on water and God sitting on
[49:44]it yeah unfortunately they do conceptualize God in physical terms in fact
[49:49]they have a hadith in their books States on the day of
[49:53]judgment God will sit on the arch or the curtsy on that
[49:55]chair and then to his right side there will be an empty
[50:01]space of four fingers a little bit of space who's gonna sit
[50:06]next to him the prophets or Allah Allah Allah they believe in
[50:09]them and they say when God sits on the throne he's so
[50:15]heavy you've seen new furniture it makes that squeaking voice the first
[50:18]few times when you sit on it the throne of God will
[50:19]make that voice level up little Cathy thora yes this is in
[50:28]their books so some of them have conceptualized this verse literally that
[50:32]there's a body of water there's a chair floating on it and
[50:38]God sits on it I don't know what kind of chair this
[50:39]is that God could sit on you know this must be more
[50:43]powerful than God if you could carry God's got to be more
[50:44]powerful than God they should start worshiping the chair not God it's
[50:51]more powerful isn't it so I mean when you sit on a
[50:53]chair the chair has to be stronger than you to carry your
[50:57]weight right subhanAllah the Imam on Islam when he was asked about
[51:02]this verse the ax man becomes very agitated when he hears these
[51:08]tough seals he musters is blasphemy how can God sit on a
[51:11]chair so that's not what it means the Irish that we find
[51:20]in the Holy Quran is a symbol that represents the power of
[51:25]God according to an opinion of scholars the knowledge of God according
[51:31]to the second opinion the third opinion of scholars when it comes
[51:34]to the arch of Allah Spano to Allah it's the center of
[51:37]the universe where the commands of God are issued so why does
[51:43]God use the word throne historically when Kings would issue commands where
[51:50]were they sitting on a throne the Quran uses symbolism to talk
[51:54]to the human being so in reality the arch of Allah is
[51:59]that center of the universe where the commands of God are issued
[52:02]to the angels and the extra the commands of God that's the
[52:09]arch of allah subhanho wa taala now that ash was on water
[52:12]that is to be symbolically taken that means when God executed those
[52:17]first commands in the universe the first ingredient that was available was
[52:22]water that's the first thing that was issued by the command of
[52:27]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala what the nature of that water is that's
[52:30]unknown to us maybe I lost maybe the scientists will discover that
[52:34]one day but there's one interesting hadith from an imam and Baccarat
[52:38]listen i'm in explaining this verse wakana archivo alma the imam says
[52:42]the water that allah spano to Allah is talking about is the
[52:50]following Allah gave water the capacity to carry knowledge and faith so
[52:57]he's not defining water in physical terms at something symbolic water has
[53:05]the capacity to carry knowledge and faith that's what water is now
[53:11]how do we understand that scholars have a number of theories of
[53:16]course and opinions some of them states that look at the prophets
[53:19]and the Imams right they carry the knowledge of God well every
[53:22]human being what's the source of their creation according to the Quran
[53:30]water warren clay so allah Spano taught I gave water that capacity
[53:33]in order to mould the bodies of prophets and Imams and then
[53:37]they carry the knowledge that's one way of understanding it another way
[53:42]of understanding it is to take this strictly symbolic we're not talking
[53:45]about a physical body of water what we're talking about the essence
[53:52]of the first creation of God which is the light of a
[53:55]debate peace be upon them this hadith calls it water because water
[54:03]when we think of water we think of life we think of
[54:07]something real and water carries right like you've seen those youth ships
[54:12]being carried by the water it has that symbolism in it so
[54:16]think of the added bait peace be upon them you know as
[54:20]this water that carries the knowledge of Allah subhana wa tada so
[54:24]there are many many ways of understanding this but it's a very
[54:29]complex sermon when you examine the phrases that the Imam Ali Saddam
[54:36]uses it's very very complex now what you'll find very interesting and
[54:40]we'll conclude that the Imam Hani Salaam says when Allah created that
[54:45]water he caused a very he generated a very violent wind to
[54:50]first protect that water and then to turn that water into big
[54:58]waves from the foam of these waves Allah created the universe when
[55:03]scholars are examining this wind the way the Imam describes it he's
[55:08]giving us an exact description of gravity subhanAllah remember back then fourteen
[55:14]centuries ago they mi watch to describe all the scientific you know
[55:23]events the Arabic language at the time according to the mentality of
[55:27]the time they don't have any terms for gravity for some of
[55:29]the things that the imam ali salam was explaining so the imam
[55:35]hani salaam uses a word like wind the imam says this wind
[55:38]has a powerful force of attraction which kept the water intact then
[55:46]after that it had a powerful force of repulsion where it generated
[55:50]big waves and as a result you had this foam from this
[55:57]forum Allah created the planets and the stars that in itself is
[56:00]gravity because in the universe look at what we have today right
[56:03]after the Big Bang what did we have we had huge gravitational
[56:08]force that caused the expansion of the universe and then what's causing
[56:12]now the expansion dark matter that's pushing everything away that's a wind
[56:17]that's pushing everything away so the wind according to most of our
[56:21]own AMA in the words of Imam Ali is an exact description
[56:25]of gravity and in the end of that paragraph the Imam says
[56:27]look at this universe it's standing without pillars well does that mean
[56:33]it's standing without pillars gravity there's something that's holding it there mom
[56:38]uses the word wind so the amount money Sam says the final
[56:42]stage so first we had space god created space then you had
[56:47]this water then Allah Spano Allah through gravity caused this water to
[56:52]condense and condense and condense then it expanded rapidly and the universe
[56:57]was created the Imam says then the seven heavens will end with
[57:02]this Allah created the seven heavens the earth and the seven heavens
[57:09]you've heard Asamoah - sub what are these seven heavens what what
[57:16]dimensions in order to get an idea of what these seven heavens
[57:23]are according to what we understand from the Quran and the hadith
[57:27]and this is something that could baffle the scientists you know when
[57:32]we think of some that somehow watch we kind of think of
[57:34]them vertically right like there is seven layers on top of each
[57:41]other right is that how the universe is what we understand from
[57:45]the hadith about a Samata sub is that we have this entire
[57:49]physical universe imagine you have a circle here this is the universe
[58:00]everything that we can see in the observable universe our galaxy the
[58:06]Stars other galaxies this is all summer at dunya this is all
[58:14]the first heaven so anything that our eye can see our you
[58:19]know scientific equipment can observe into space is only which some are
[58:25]the first one then after the first sky or sama we have
[58:33]the second one which fully encompasses the first one that's the second
[58:38]heaven when we say the seven heavens this is the second heaven
[58:42]now what that is that's something beyond us human it's something that
[58:49]envelops this physical universe and then we have the third one here
[58:55]that fully engulfs the second one and then we have the fourth
[58:59]one here which profit is in the fourth heaven now Ehsan is
[59:05]said I'm or a Driss he saw was not crucified he did
[59:10]not die Allah elevated him the hadith states to which heaven the
[59:13]fourth one and the Prophet on his journey to the Mirage he
[59:18]stopped at this fourth one and he led all the prophets in
[59:21]surah to Jamaa and some a hadith indicate that the actual Masjid
[59:27]al-aqsa is there the farthest mosque when the Quran says the actual
[59:34]Masjid al-aqsa the earthly one is in Jerusalem but the actual message
[59:37]it in aqsa is in that fourth heaven and then we have
[59:44]the fifth one the fifth heaven and then the six and then
[59:48]the seventh you see how small we are this whole universe that's
[59:57]I don't know 96 billion light-years across is this part here what's
[60:06]around the seventh heaven Irish the throne of God that we talked
[60:13]about envelopes the seven heavens and the small little universe so what
[60:21]you have that's surrounding everything in existence as the arch of Allah
[60:27]subhana WA time this is something beyond us the prophet salallahu alaihe
